Is the NES Classic worth your $60? We think not.
During an X Spaces live chat titled WayForward Chat: Horror Games Galore, the indie developer teased the announcement of not one but two upcoming horror titles based on an existing IP.
Despite Microsoft's experience in hardware manufacturing, I don't trust it not to fumble its first gaming handheld device which may eventually lead to a successor not getting released.
Unless it has some fature that really makes it standout I don't think someone who wants a handheld will pick it when the Switch 2 is just around the corner and the Steam Deck offers a huge library with much better prices worldwide
Doesn't make much sense to have a handheld that is locked down to the Xbox ecosystem when the PC handheld can run everything. I'm sure the same people that bought the Xbox fridge will give Microsoft their free money though.
Microsoft handheld Qualcomm based... you will see it next year... and you will see it sink.

China/Russia plain and simple. Chinese are producing their own chips and to catch up they do what they have always done……steal it. When you can’t innovate, stealing is your best friend.
Considering the prices of NES games on the Virtual Console, $2 a game seems like a steal.
At least you know what you're getting with this mini console, a plug and play retro experience, if you can see value in spending a $1000 on a tv to replay all your last gen games on, then people seeing value in spending $60 on novelty item is not such a stretch
Personally I'd like to see them release other classic editions as well (after these are well stocked). This will be the 1st and the 2nd will have 30 different games. Possibly even make a 3rd with 30 more games.
They aren't meant to replace the original in any way but just provide the nostalgia and convenience of plugging in and playing when you want. Like previous 'flashback' systems from sega, coleco and atari.
I have no issue with this. It's sold really well. But I think not being able to load more games onto is a silly idea. I think the Sega Mega Drive rerelease adds more value. It costs less and comes with 2 controllers. Has 80 built in games. As well as being able to insert your old mega drive games into it.
Or the super retro trio console. Where you can play your old Mega Drive, NES and Super NES games and it costs the same as the Mini NES.
Even the Atari Flashback and the ZX Spectrum Recreated are a little cheaper and offer more value (in my opinion).
The controllers are replaceable though and 3rd party ones already exist (though just as hard to find as the console itself....)
