I definitely, think that this is possible with alot of current gen games with low demand in the graphics department, due to the art style choice. The issue with this for better games will be the PS4 bottleneck on the VR games, By that I mean you can't make a PS4 Pro PSVR exclusive game, and that's where bigger games would benefit with the extra powah. However, i'm fine with games like Dishonored making this leap into the VR world it'd be awesome. Now all I need is a Skyrim PSVR compatible game and my life will be over. :D It's already ending thanks to the 2D version.

The great thing about this, if a big developer like Bethesda is toying around with the ideal of VR in big games, others are likely thinking along those lines. Which could see some big titles making a VR appearance .

The key is having the right developer getting it right on the first try, which would persuade other developers to jump on board! From that standpoint VR can have a long and bright future.

more people buy psvr then we will see lot of triple A games will come to psvr. I love to see psvr 2 on playstation 5 but current psvr have to success in order to see psvr 2nd version. Ususally there is no next version if the current version fail. Im supporting psvr and so far demand is very strong so its good sign. Don't expect psvr 2 will come on ps4Pro because ps4 Pro CAN NOT handle 4k with 60 frame per second. It will be on playstaion 5 for sure!

Dishonored on VR makes perfect sense. The controls are't overly complicated and the graphics while still pretty, aren't terribly demanding. I think they should at least get it up and running and see how it feels for themselves. If they haven't done so already.

It will make people madly sick if they don't come up with a totally different control method though. You can't just translate fast vertical shooters.

Of course. Already hearing about vomiting and general sickness when a good chunk of people play, using VR.

XDefiant and former CoD lead quits the games industry after Ubisoft killed their shooter

Mark Rubin, the lead designer of Ubisoft’s now-dead free-to-play shooter XDefiant, has left the games industry following his project’s death.

Going to ubisoft was your mistake

TheColbertinator15h ago

So much wrong with Xdefiant. At one point they started using the worst ideas for their game and FPS fans saw it in the previews.

SpacedDuck15h ago

No offense but if Xdefiant represents your best the industry is better off for it.

"We had other issues though as well that we tried to be transparent about. For one we had crippling tech debt using an engine that wasn’t designed for what we were doing...Another issue we had was having the right resources to make content for the game."

Ubi set them up for failure out of the gate. And he says they had stuff in the pipes that should have been at launch means Ubi rushed it out and the devs didn't.

The creator of Balatro says microtransactions "makes me want to put my computer in the dishwasher."

Localthunk: "The honest reason I don't have microtransactions/season pass/ads/100 DLCs/etc in Balatro isn't just about the ethics of those practices but because when I play other games that have those things it makes me want to put my computer in the dishwasher and set it to pots & pans."
