I'm gonna grab this asap and cancel my walmart one because apparently they don't know if my order cancelled or if it's shipping

EDITED: Walmart was the only place with available pre-orders.

ADVICE FOR EVERYONE,NEVER EVER PRE-ORDER ANYTHING FROM THEM
They cancelled my order last minute and looking at the reddit so did a ton of other people. What a mess, heres hoping i do get one from Amazon now.

Yeah I was reading that thread because mine wasn't shipping from Amazon like my other hardware preorders. So many people got screwed over by retailers. Many people on that thread are worried about Amazon too. Thankfully mine just shipped earlier this afternoon and it is currently sitting at the UPS facility only about 40 mins from me. Sucks for people that had issues because you spend all this time getting excited and these administrative oversights happen. It's happened to me in the past with other big launches plenty of times so I feel your pain.

To all you guys having problems, I wish you the best of luck in your hunt!

Coming with my personal expression on my personal take. what i feel on said subject "Sony VR " more i experience watching video´s on YouTube less appealing it becomes .
Every gamer entitle to personal opinion . being old-fashioned old skool gamer VR not appealing to me.

at 58 years of age being Batman in VR not my thing. now something like GT Sports now that (may) fit my VR racing needs.

That's fair enough, each to their own. There does seem like a great diversity of games within the launch window, so nobody should feel left out, ultimately.

Robo Quest VR looks pretty slick with that fast gunplay.

Shadowgate VR looks good too, perhaps in the vein of elder scrolls.

Shadowgate VR. Thought it might be connected to the old point and click game. But it still looks good.

y'know, VR needs something can can only be achieved while in VR. Immersion isn't enough, it has to have a hook that is so cool that you would want to own one. Having the same games you could play on console doesnt warrant a purchase.

Babadook752d ago

Resident Evil 4 Remake and Village and Gran Turismo 7 alone make it worth it for me. The difference VR makes is so large it more than doubles the enjoyment of these types of quality VR ports. So I disagree. I would love a future where all great 2d games got some kind of a hybrid port to VR.

Has Hitman: World Of Assassination been confirmed for PCVR? If not, then this article is seriously misleading.

CrimsonIdol201d ago

It's confirmed on Steam VR yes. It's right there on the store page.

I’ll have to put the dual sense down and pick up metro and alien vr to see me out till the end of the year. Good to see companies supporting psvr 2 .

Babadook7201d ago

Looks like a tremendous few months coming up. I won't be able to keep up with these.

UltimateOwnage201d ago

VR is really starting to flesh out recently. The hardware is finally getting accessible and with the quality it takes to deliver a compelling and immersive experience. Good times ahead. I hope Flat2VR Studios can bridge the gap with some excellent conversions as the industry matures.
