Crash Bandicoot PS4 Release Date and Remastered box art confirmed?

@Army_of_Darkness Same here. I always said if Crash Bandicoot comes to E3 and Naughty Dog or Bluepoint games aren't directly involved, then they may as well not bothered at all. Crash Bandicoot covers. This new model would not be far from previous titles on later systems.

Further the remaster is being handled by Vicarious Visions.
"For those not familliar with Vicarious Visions work, they most recently developed games in the Skylanders series including Skylanders Superchargers and Skylanders: Swap Force."

As a bonus here is Vicarious Visions website. On the front page is stories about Crash Bandicoot and other Crash characters being used in Skylanders. I would wager Vicarious Visions provided the models.

Because Sony really doesn't get a say if they want the games. Crash is owned by Activision, not Sony.

Further this story states it. The games being remastered are Crash, Crash 2, and Crash Warped. Those expecting a brand new title will be disappointed.

Yeah if they use that crash model, forget about it. Agreed on the slowness as well. I don't mind the existence of the skylanders version of crash and was considering getting skylanders for it but after watching the trailer, no thanks. Just doesn't look fun.

As for letting Activision make the games, I doubt they had a choice. I'd say it could even have gone multiplat if Sony didn't strike any kind of deal with them. It does suck that Activision are taking control of it but I'll remain hopeful until I see more.

First off, it's obvious this is not real and just photo shopped. Hence you saying it's from Skylanders, well duh. Secondly, Sony can't force Activision to do what they want with Activision's IP. Last but not least, maybe you should stop falling for this false information and not jump to conclusion until something official is shown. Would i be upset if this skylanders crash is the same one in the remake, heck yeah. But i bet it wont be and further more, i have a option to not purchase it if it was.

Shouldn't have done what exactly? Remasters at all? I have played some great remasters from Metal Gear titles to Ratchet and Clank remasters. Quite a few other Sony classic titles and they have been great.

Millions of ppl will be happy to play Crash on their PS4, and if it gets enough support we may very well see a new deal and a new Crash in the future. You need to start somewhere and gain momentum. If ppl support this it may put pressure on to create a new game, and may influence Sony to drop the ridiculous amount of money it would take to buy at least a portion of Crash back. Hey, they got Spidey..

One of the most hideous box arts I've ever seen, Why oh why did anyone try to tinker with the original trilogy Crash, all they had to do was smooth off the edges on this https://upload.wikimedia.or... and it would have been perfect. It's like Sonic nowadays where whoever makes a Sonic game changes his character model to something more wacky, Sonic now looks more hipster and Knuckles missed leg day.

@both replies: Yes, yes they would unless they intended to release a game with PSOne graphics on PS4. All three titles included in this remaster are from PSOne.

PS3 remasters aren't on par with PS4 quality. PS2 remasters such as GTA San Andreas are even further away. PSOne titles would likely be worse.

If they change gameplay too much however people will complain they didn't follow the "spirit of Crash". Then by listing the three titles included it goes to show that no, it won't be all new.

What do people expect them to show? Sections of a game they've already played or can find videos for? At the end of the day they'll show the new graphics then outline the features available on PS4 like streaming, photo and video capture, then call it a day.

The only people kidding themselves are the ones expecting this remaster to be a whole new title when it's been confirmed that it isn't.

It looks fake, all of the assets are pulled from someplace else. The model is Crash from Skylanders, the environment in the background looks like it's from Skylanders too, and the Crash Bandicoot text looks like it's been pulled from the covers of the original games.

If you click the original source of the 'leak' they're even using Skylanders screenshots to advertise the game.

I imagine it's just the websites way of trying to get more preorders down. It's obviously bad practice, but this is coming from Brazil so I'm not especially surprised.

ah, for all complaining about the look of crash in skylanders and his speed: he's beautyful, he resemble the old artworks, if you want a strabic polygonal crash in 2017 you have serios problems; he is slow because the skylanders are slow too in the game, not because they make it like that for purpose, you silly complainers ;) i hope they use this model for the remasterake, but with a smaller head of course. Cannot wait to purchase the crash pack in november and the remasterake D1 no matter what, i believe in vicarious vision :) the real problem was if the remasterake was made by radical entertainment (the dumbasses who mades the titan games, ugh)
