Brad Wardell says that Microsoft won't turn the Windows store into a closed platform

Tim Sweeney’s claims about Microsoft’s plans for the Windows Store and Windows 10 generated quite some controversy earlier this year. His accusations ranged from planning to make other games impossible to develop for PC and shutting down Steam. Brad Wardell, who experimented with his own distribution mini-platform in Stardock’s Impulse, disagrees.

Xbox One is incorrectly tagged as it is clearly not related and is about PC. Also Tim's concerns were well founded. But in the end I don't think anyone needs to worry because Microsoft is only using those deals to bring attention to its store. You can argue about Forza and Gears and the rest but then you would have to bring up Ubisoft and EA with their storefronts. This is dumb because the real issue was WUP not Windows Store.
