EB: Rive is a contemporary send-up to the grueling and fast-paced 2D shooters from a bygone era. The whole of it is a series of winding corridors and gunfights. There are deadly traps, and innumerable enemies to kill. Rive’s a love letter to the wild arcade and early console days that is unrelenting to a fault.
