FENIX Bazaar writes: It goes without saying that Nintendo has a long trek back to respectability on the console front. As good a console as the Wii U has been, it’s failed to establish much of a foothold in the market, and as such is one of the company’s worst performing pieces of hardware in its storied history.
Final Fantasy Tactics Remastered‘s announcement was a welcome surprise to many, older fans along with the younger generation would be able to experience the epic PS1 game again with some new things that would improve the experience such as voice acting.
This is really stupid and just baffling, the explanation for it is also a big non answer, very disappointing.
Square Enix has really gone down the drain. Even FF7: Rebirth, while being an incredible acheivment seemed very sloppy in some areas... namely performance. These folks wonder why their games don't sell but aren't putting in a decent effort.
They seem to be suggesting that people didn't like the new stuff in WotL, hence it's non-inclusion, but they're probably secretly planning to add it as DLC down the line, they just don't want to tell people that because they think it'll get an even worse reaction. When they do eventually add it, they'll be like, "We listened". Of course, it won't be free though, so they'll still get flak for it. On the other hand, maybe I'm too cynical.
General system stability improvements to enhance the user's experience.
It includes back compatibility fixes for more Switch 1 games…. It fixes Tony Hawk 1&2 if anyone has been waiting for that one.
With the release of the v36.10 mode on June 18, Fortnite removed an iconic mode.
Nintendo is incredibly screwed when it comes to pricing. It's competitors have consoles that will have established themselves by 3+ years and go for as low as $300 new by the time NX releases.
With their past history in the new millennium, it'd be very difficult for Nintendo to convince people to spend as much on a new console that hasn't yet established itself. For all intents and purposes it could just end up being consumers secondary console instead of a primary one like PlayStation or Xbox.
The NX needs a "hook" (or gimmick as people call it) with applicable software to showcase its strengths over competing platforms. If a device is innovative enough to catch the attention of others; the price, at times, plays an unimportant role in its success. It's obvious Nintendo needs an "impulse buy" price factor for the NX (like the Wii had), though like I iterated before; "innovative products can be priced at an higher than average price point if it's something new or cleverly revamped that competitors don't have to appease their clientele."
When I saw Miyamoto at the Apple iphone event, I thought to myself: this has to be Nintendo's future partner. If they want to be able to compete with Sony at a higher price tag.....let Apple build the device with Nintendo co funding cost to build. They can split revenue made on hardware however fair. It would be a huge win. Nintendo software sales would be through the roof if 150 million to even 200 million install the hardware. When Apple makes something again at a $499 price point...it will look cheap..lol. So Nintendo should jump on that!
This guy is particularly clueless. He compared, VR headset attachements to consoles, called the Wii U compareable to the gamecube and ignored the fact, yeah the Wii sold large volumes but had tons of crapware, and once the crazy was over had an attachement rate less than gamecube for major franchises. Lastly he called the gamecube the only profitable console that gen when the Ps2 was very profitable but Sony's other areas gobbled up the profits.
The NX will be price Im guessing about 350$ for a premium package and probably 300$ for the basic just like that did with the Wii U. He is right in that leaves NX in a very questionable position but I think it maybe ok because of the portable gaming younger gamers (kids) do love nintendo handles.
i think 295.99...
meh... maybe 350.00 with game inclu
