Here comes our thirteenth entry in our newly returning comic strip series Connect Them All. In Connect Them All, every film and TV property in existence takes place within the same shared universe. Whether linked by an actor, a setting, an item, or any other possible connecting tissue, Connect Them All will explore the connections between various shows and movies.

For this week’s comic, we explore this week’s episode of USA’s cerebral Hacker drama, Mr. Robot. During this week’s episode I was taken aback by a scene in which FBI Agent Dom has a long depressing conversation with her Amazon Echo. Initially I was kind of laughing as it kind of felt like product placement, which it might very well have been. As the scene went on, however, I was drawn into the complex portrayal of loneliness that wasn’t only etched in Dom’s expressions, but in the entire layout of her apartment. While I enjoyed the scene thoroughly, I couldn’t help but internally laugh, imagining a scenario in which her Echo is just getting sick and tired of her moping around.
