Personally I'm excited for it, hopefully the games I currently own and future games will have more stable frame-rates.

If I had a 4K UHDTV I would be pretty excited. I think anyone with a PS4 and 4K set should have one pre-ordered.

I have A 4k but the upgrade is way too minimal for an upgrade especially when there is no uhd player, I'm just going to wait for scorpio and then get the ps5 in 2020

People on here seem to forget(intentionally or not) there are big benifits for normal full HD TV owners as well, increased framrate, increased graphical touches on certain games. Just look at the new TR which gives you three settings, the middle setting i believe is 1080p@60.

Pretty excited for it actually, alot of my friends have pre-ordered the the PS4P and most of them dont have 4K TV's, it's a no brainer for me, my orig PS4 will go to my lad and i get the new one, my PC and PS4P have me covered till Sony drops the PS5 in two to three years.

No 4k here, still excited. I'll get a 4k eventually though, just want to wait until I can afford an OLED. Doesn't get much better than 4K HDR OLED. ::drools::

I'm not flipping out about it, but I'm going to get one. I was going to get another PS4 anyways and was considering getting a slim. Then when they announced that this would release so soon for a good price with a bigger hard drive while being able to run games better I figured why not.

Plus, now I'll be set for when I get a 4k tv.

I'll probably pick one up in February. It's a great upgrade for 1080P console gamers. Even those with 4K TVs can benefit from it. Plus there's the support that Sony will give it as well.

Still waiting to see what the benefits will be for people without 4K TVs, if it offers a noticeable improvement in either image quality or performance, I'll probably buy one with Horizon next year.

I'm excited for it. Sony will not drop the ball with PlayStation. It will be awesome and pave the way. I also feel the same way about Scorpio bc first and foremost I am a gamer.

Sorry if you think that's misleading, it's just that Sony haven't called this one "PlayStation 4 Slim", it's just "PlayStation 4". It completely replaces the original model in the retail chain, so saying it's the "New PlayStation 4" is the most correct thing I could think of.
