In your own opinion what do you think the NX will be like? And how powerful would you want it to be?

Alot of gamers wants cinematic graphics and hi tech when playing their games. Others dont care as long as the gameplay is good. We are getting closer to the suppose reveal of Nintendo's newest system, and with all the rumors and speculations going around its hard to tell what Nintendo's new console/handheld will be like? In your own opinion what do think the Nx will be like and how powerful would you want it to be? Me id be satisfied if its powerful enough to bring 3rd party developers onboard to make games for it. Hopefully somewhere close to currect ps4 if not a little more power wise. If its not powerful enough we may have another Wii U on our hands. I know ill be very disshearted. As for games hopefully its good enough to handle ffxv if its ported. Oh and god please give us a new Metriod! Then ill be happy. What about you guys? How powerful do you want the NX to be? Would you buy it if its less powerful then the Xone ?

I think it will be a hand held highbred that Connect's to a TV. I also think it will retail at $299.00. It will be able to put out better graphics than Wii U, but not XB1/PS4. We do already know NX And Wii U versions of BOTW are graphically different, so my fingers are crossed the NX version will look even better! I do think Nintendo also will use cartridges, as they have with all of their handhelds. Which for games like Splinter Cell, Xenoblade X, etc it would almost completely do away with load times! Support for UR Engine 4, and Unity.
I had wished for a system with more power than PS4, that more than likely won't be the case but who knows all still rumours.
Joining the handheld/home divisions would greatly improve game release times, and also give Nintendo more room for creating even more IP's Like Splatoon!

So with my thoughts out there, I had hoped for a home console, however if Nintendo pulls this off, I am really kind of excited to see what they have come up with! Day 1, anyway. Even though I know most of my gaming will be done on my TV.

I'm thinking $199.99. Nintendo has stated they want to sell 20 million of these puppies in the first fiscal year, and $300 is a lot to spend on a handheld system.

However, if the NX does use the rumored "Parker" chip, wouldn't that theoretically sandwich the NX power-wise between the XBO and PS4? In that case it would be worth $300.

Whatever is on my TV needs to be 1080p maybe 900p, and handheld is fine at 720p. 30fps is acceptable depending on the game, any actiony game better be packing 60 fps. There is no reason this can not happen in 2017 under or at $400. At that high a price though, a hybrid handheld and a deck that could add some horsepower would be necessary. No one is buying a $350+ for a handheld that justs upscaled 720p games to their TV.

The cartridge rumor is pretty awesome, hope it happens.

I honestly cannot predict what Nintendo will put out. I could have never predicted their last two consoles. If it is a high powered hand held with graphics comparable to this gen, I hope it is priced around 250. I bought my sons Vitas and despite its hardware, they mainly use it to play the indie plus games. I know Nintendo will support this with exclusives and if it has 3rd party support... It will be a hit I'd think.

It is not like everyone doesn't already sit in the same room playing with their phones. Now, kids could be playing the latest console games and parents can watch whatever. If this is the case. If it gets 3rd party support. If it doesn't rip off consumers (parents who are geeky enough to know about hardware). If it is powerful enough. It could hit the scene very hard for people like me.

I bought the PS4 and the Vita because of hardware and intercombatability functions. It turns out that that was a waste. I spent 200 a pop. With the lack of split screen this gen, this really could be the way to go for parents who have more than one son (and perhaps daughters :). I can imagine our two PS4s collecting dust as my sons play games in the family area because Mom does not like the isolation that TV's bring.

As for the adult audience, I don't see it as anything other than maybe a guilty pleasure at most. I could skip watching my wife's favorite woman show and game a game that really has my interest. I am too technologically spoiled, though, so this will only work if it has the power and third party. My self respect will not let me bow to a kid friendly only system.

The Wii U would have been a fit for your family, I don't care what any haters say, it was and still is a great console!

People are saying NX will be $199, uh doubtful, considering the 3DS XL sells for $249, lol! It will be $299, and it should be, IF it has more power than Wii U, which is still retailing for $299! There are some great deals on bundles though.

I would like the NX to be a home / handheld hybrid console going at a price of $299. All games when played on the TV will be in 1080p 60fps and when played on the handheld 720p with either 60 or 30fps depending on what makes the game more stable and allow for the best user experience. Online multiplayer would have to be free, thus giving Nintendo a leg up on Sony and MS. The system itself should be more powerful than the PS4 and should use cartridges rather than discs. All your digital purchases on your Wii U, 3DS and Wii consoles will automatically be available for free download on the NX. People that purchased physical versions of games such as Mario Kart 8, Splatoon, Super Smash Bros Wii U, Xenoblades Chronicles X, Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze, Bayonetta 1 & 2, Super Mario Maker, Yoshi's Woolly World, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, etc should be given the opportunity to trade in their games for NX versions straight up or allow the trade and just have people pay half the $ value for NX versions of these games. Those that don't want to pay again can just simply keep their Wii U and play those games on that system. The system needs to have a massive launch lineup and constant support from 1st and 3rd party companies all throughout its life cycle.

Note to Nintendo: I'm giving you guys 1 last chance. If you end up treating the NX like the Wii U then I'm done purchasing Nintendo consoles in the future. If you support the NX like you do the 3DS then you will earn my money as a customer.

Want the games and first party Nintendo game engines to blow away offerings on the current showings, (The constant stream of UE4 games are beginning to look kinda samey now) There's no reason Nintendo couldnt make a console that can drive a 3D Mario title with insanely immersive visual fidelity with some type of new rendering style that blows away the competition on other consoles (perspective corrected 3D polygons of the 64 comes to mind) that just update pixel counts and poly count. Or it could end up being bland and kiddy looking as heck like SMW3D. There's really no way to tell because Nintendo usually has a legacy of upping the bar in 3D game presentation when they really want to.
It will be VERY interesting to see what they can acheive with 8th gen hardware if the rumors about Luigi's Mansion 3 looking almost CG-like are true. Also a Zelda title that isnt an uprezzed TP demo like the WiiU E3 debut tech demo and one that is more like the gamecube spaceworld tech demo would be frigging AWESOME http://m.youtube.com/watch?... would plop down 450-500$ on something like that EASILY, and this is coming from a guy who's last Nintendo system was the N64. I just want it powerful enough that major third party devs will publish games for it. I don't care about the best graphics and I'll gladly still buy games even if they are not on part with the scorpio or neo, I just want the games. This console generation has been a slew of games released on everything but Wii U. I simply want that to be resolved.

I don't think too much powerful than the Wiiu. Although, with that said, if it is a hybrid, I think the handheld side of it will be impressive.
