‘Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV’ Has A Woman Problem - The Workprint

Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV is a mess of a film, riddled with confusing dialogue, poor pacing, and lazy writing, but its most offensive crime is its treatment of female characters.

Ok, are you seriously ? More importantly, this game is fictional. If you want playable female characters in Final Fantasy, then let Square Enix decide, don't force them.

Grap2852d ago

Two facts, 1-It's a movie, 2- this article is SJW's trash.

gamer78042851d ago

normally i'm all for having the creator's vision for a game be influenced by only their own creativity. MY problem with this new final fantasy is that square seems to not be able to make up its mind, drastically removing characters, delay after delay. Also the main party seems to have little diversity, whether its in their gender, how they look, or how they act. I'm not a fan of the dude road trip driving a car in a final fantasy game either.

This is just my opinion but this movie appears to be a harbringer of doom for FFXV. I'm going to hold off on this game or pick up when its rock bottom price.

jambola2851d ago

1, what do you mean by "drastically removing characters" do you mean Stella? that one character they removed?
2, not delay after delay, it was delayed once that we know of, from september 30th to november 29th, a delay isn't when it takes longer than people expected based on nothing.
3, the characters are diverse enough in their personalities,

gamer78042851d ago

@Jambola

1. Yes Stella was removed, along with a party scene from the demo changed. She was supposed to be a love interest but not anymore. They added Luna but she is a npc and not a love interest.
2.it was delayed several times, and last week they issued another delay of the game.
3. Playing the whole game will tell that, but from what i've seen they all seem similar.

Koor2851d ago

Wow, 0 facts presented.

gamer78042851d ago

@Koor I stated several facts, but true part of it is my opinion of what i've seen of the game so far, everyone is free to have a different one, but the facts are they removed a character, had storyline changes and several delays.

jambola2850d ago

Your reply answered nothing
1, yo said characters, i assumed you meant more than one, how do you know Luna won't be some form of love interest, what makes you think Stella was? also, you know Stella was also non-playable right?
2, can you show me when it was delayed? officially, not just your speculation?

Koor2850d ago

Since FFXV begin production as the current title, it had 1 delay. 1.

Also you can't say drastically removing characters when there was 1 character taken out :|

Kalebninja2852d ago

Im curious to read this but I ain't spoiling the movie.

Forum_Pirate2852d ago

Don't be. The article is typical 3rd wave feminism garbage, if somewhat more subtle than usual.

Bismarn2852d ago

Crap. If it were 2nd wave I'd read it.

MyDietEqualsGames2851d ago

It has to be subtle. The majority of people are now on to that 3 wave sh** and the media can no longer latch on to it because it's pillars of strength are now crumbling with women everywhere denouncing the garbage cultist mentality that actually serves as a double standard of ostracizing men when the original movement was all about being able to vote and later equality or promotion of egalitarianism.

We have more important things to worry about than how females OR males, are portrayed in games.

For instance, is my Pizza going to arrive hot and will the cheese have that excellent elasticity that I crave so?
See? More important. =)

Forum_Pirate2851d ago

Oh it isn't subtle, it's just more subtle than it usually is. Usually they're implying (or outright stating) that all men are rapists or something stupid like that.

But I'm sure Ghostbusters had no "man" problem.

Edit: LOL read the comment on the website.

kaizokuspy2852d ago

That movie flopped so hard the former ghostbuster is rolling in his grave

drizzom2852d ago

I would but that would require clicking on this garbage piece.

Glad that I absolutely can't stand subscription services.

Petebloodyonion56d ago (Edited 56d ago )

I don't recall Sony forcing you to subscribe like nobody forced you to go to Blockbuster to rent games instead of buying them.

SonyStyled56d ago

Pay-per-view was almost cheaper than the cost of gas and rental fee from Blockbuster. Blockbuster doesn’t exist today. Are you being sarcastic?

Final Fantasy XV Review – A Royal Road Trip

Gary Green said: With my fondness for (most) Final Fantasy games and my side goal of finishing off games in my collection with loose ends, a return to Final Fantasy XV seemed inevitable. It also serves as my third Final Fantasy platinum trophy after VII and VIII, a reasonable substitute since Final Fantasy IX is nigh on impossible to master.

Final Fantasy 15 director reveals why he left Square Enix, and announces he's working on 2 new JRPGs

Final Fantasy 15's director has revealed why he left Square Enix back in 2018.

Hajime Tabata famously resigned from Square Enix two years after Final Fantasy 15 shipped in 2016. In a special livestream at the time, Tabata announced his decision to resign from the company, cancelling three of four new story-focused DLC episodes for Final Fantasy 15 in the process.

FF15 is like FF13 its subjective people either like it or hate it.

raWfodog188d ago

I liked it. I haven’t played the royale edition yet but I’ll get around to it one day.

gold_drake188d ago

no no, 15 wasnt trash.

15 had a tremendous difficult development.

FinalFantasyFanatic186d ago

I really believe 13 was better put together and more complete than 15 ever was.

EternalTitan187d ago

Found the pathetic troll.
How is your jobless life going?
Dot worry, you will never get a job or a girlfriend haha!

Hofstaderman188d ago

Man inherited a train wreck and was expected to release this game in under two years after it spent a better part of a decade in development hell. At one point there was even plans to make FFXIII Versus a musical. He did what he could.

TheColbertinator188d ago

I didn't care much for XV and I always wanted the original vision of Versus XIII but I think the dev team did what they could to salvage the project

Inverno187d ago

And yet people still blame him for the game turning out the way it did, rather than SE for the horrible mismanagement of 13 and Namura for being overly ambitious.

Dwarrior188d ago

Whatever the behind-the-scenes went on over the many years, at the end of the day it was a radical change in direction that I could not go along with. Also why I never bought 16.

gold_drake188d ago

this is also why Sakaguchi (spelling) left.
