Soooo all the shitty recent cartoons then, the ones which feel all the same because all they do is rely on pop culture references and lots of randomness to be funny.

The older cartoons each had their own styles, humour and tones while the newer ones found in this game are basically all the same. I mean older cartoons like Ed, Edd and Eddy, Cow and Chicken or Freakazoid for example had randomness but it didn't go overboard with it and centre the plot around all of it.

If this included

Ed, Edd and Eddy, Powerpuff Girls, Dexters Lab, Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Samurai Jack, Codenames Kids Next Door, Scooby Doo, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Freakazoid, Animaniacs, Space Ghost, Grim and Evil, Fosters Home, Top Cat and the old school Looney Tunes...THEN it would be a fantastic game. That would be the dream Cartoon Network brawler.

Yeah cartoons in general have moved past their prime, but there is still some great ones. Mostly found on CN.

I've never seen any I like

Ever since Adventure time they are all the same, copying the same style and humour. Like I said above randomness and a lot of pop culture to be relevant. Cartoons these days just seem very dumbed down.

I mean compare Teen Titans to Teen Titans GO, Looney Tunes to the Looney Tunes Show/Wabbit or Scooby Doo to Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!

Spot on, 90's and early 2000's cartoons were fantastic, today's cartoons are just pathetic. It's surprising because the people making these cartoons now are the same people that grew up watching 90's cartoons, you would think they would know how to get it right.

I mean, look at Scooby-Doo now
http://vignette1.wikia.noco...

He looks like he needs to be put down.

Cartoons these days just seem to all go with the same terrible humour and poor character designs. All the new cartoons just look really deformed or something, like every character is mentally ill. Like you say, they have been dumbed down.

That picture of Scooby Doo looks like how he'd be drawn if he appeared in Family Guy...

Sheed3210d ago

i don't mind the newer cartoons.
To be honest, i actually prefer the newer cartoon network shows in certain aspects.
Unlike old cartoon network shows the new shows actually progress.
Sure the animation may not look as pretty but it has far superior writing
The characters actually grow and age (Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Gumball etc.) and plot is actually moving forward with characters with actual depth and backstories

CorndogBurglar3210d ago

Yeah I have to agree. CN had some truly great shows about 10-12 years ago. You named them all pretty much.

Courage the Cowardly Dog, Samurai Jack, Dexter's Lab, and Powerpuff Girls were my favorites, hands down.

Also, Toonami was awesome when it had Big O, Dragonball Z, Gundam Wing, and Robotech.

I miss those days. Cartoon Network has seriously fallen very far. Even Adult Swim sucks a big one now.

They didn't say. They only confirmed 4 player couch co-op.

Man, that's pretty bad when the Wii U isn't even getting games like this!

Putting Ads in a pay-to-play Premium title? Well done Microsoft. Well done /s This is really scummy.

This game will never change because these sweatlords love buying up all the skins and bundles that become obsolete the following year. They're the ones perpetuating Activision's greed.

If Microsoft introduces adverts into its other games I hope it can do them without disrupting the immersion of the game world. So for example in the new Fable game it would look out of place if there was a billboard advertising Cadillacs.

A far better way to do it would be to have a wizard conjure a 'dream cloud' in front of your character and then in the cloud you can see the Cadillac car and see the text with price and availability and hear a booming sales voice promoting the car. That would work so well as it wouldn't be a billboard and completely, 100%, fit in with your character's adventuring in Albion. Doesn't that sound so much better?!

I sure hope so. It seemed like forever ago since its announcement.

IO is also the publisher for MindsEye so it could be about that game.

i'd much prefer it to be about their Bond project though. love what they've done with hitman and im hyped to see what they can do with the Bond franchise.
