FGE - When Grim Dawn was released back in February, it gave ARPG enthusiasts a title they could sink their teeth into. The world of Cairn was chock filled with punishing challenges, vast nightmarish environments waiting to be explored, and monsters plucked straight from deepest, darkest recesses of our collective fever dreams. Grim Dawn also provided players with the opportunity to customize their characters in ways not usually available in ARPGs, allowing them to experiment with dual classes and a plethora of potential skill builds. Fast forward to August and Grim Dawn has a robust online community fueled by a robust theorycrafting culture—hosted by Reddit and other forums—and a collective of gamers driven to take their characters into the upper stratosphere of power. In the midst of this success, Crate Entertainment (the studio behind Grim Dawn) has released the game’s first DLC, Crucible. Crucible is not the DLC I was hoping for.
