Sony Talks 400-Disc Blu-ray Changer and Blu-ray Club
At the beginning of CEDIA today in Denver, CO, Sony spoke mostly about the great success they have seen with the Blu-ray format, but also took some time to talk about what’s next for the company. After discussing details about their upcoming Blu-ray players, Sony mentioned that next year they would introduce a 400-disc Blu-ray Disc changer, news that should delight those with huge Blu-ray collections.
Additionally, the company spoke about an upcoming "Blu-ray Club" which would reward people who purchase Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Blu-ray titles. No details were given during the presentation, but it may be similar to Disney’s Movie Rewards program which awards points to those who purchase Disney movies that they can redeam for Disney gear and collectibles. The club will be launched this fall.
