Solo developer Yang Bing has attracted a lot of attention after showcasing a trailer of his game Lost Soul Aside, built in Unreal Engine 4. After having been contacted by multiple publishers offering help to complete the project, he found himself facing the choice of whether to complete the project as a full-time developer or not.
Apparently, he has now taken a decision.

Nintendo allegedly let Masahiro Sakurai work on his passion project, Kirby Air Riders, in order to convince him to direct another Smash Bros.
If that is true then it sounds like it would be more substantial than just Ultimate Deluxe plus a few new characters.

Wccftech interviewed Mundfish's Robert Bagratuni about the freshly announced game Atomic Heart 2, the sequel to the successful first-person shooter.
Great story. I wonder who he went with.
"Maybe we don’t know each other, but actually I’m a self-closing and nameless guy in real life, and now I realized my dream is not to create a game, is to create a world belongs to me, so I can dive into it from the real world, "
"I said I will make it commercial some day but when they really came to me, I’m scared just like someone want to take my world away from me, I begin to be like a little boy protecting his toy."
I just really hope people similar to konami aren't contacting him. this is his life, passion, ambition and persona. and he's not doing it to be better than other developers.
- May the force be with you Yang Bing!

Whichever direction he decide to go in making sure to keep IP ownership is key , don't be taken in by the Tons of BS companies will mention.
Ownership is priority while getting it out to the public . Remember EA Partnerships deals & how Insomniac got to keep both its recent IPs.
Good for him. I hope the company he ends up with supports him and his vision instead of grinding him down and forcing him to make the game into something more "appealing" to mainstream audiences.
