What is this nonsense? Microsoft learned lessons but that wasn't it. 4K and HDR support back in 2013 would've been so niche it would have done nothing but put the price up, silly boy is silly.

fair enough but why ignore the positive stuff like 4k support, ultrabluray drive, smaller and more efficient parts that draw less power, hdr support and a newer controller? it's fine to criticize the other stuff because i agree but don't just give one side of the story.

Bennibop - Kinect wasn't dropped. Existing owners can send in their current Kinect serial numbers and get a free adapter that connects to one of the USB port on the back of the console. New owners can buy a Kinect adapter to use Kinect if they want to.

The chip size of the launch Xbox One wasn't small or power efficient enough for MS to make it as small as it is now with internal power supply that they were comfortable with. They could have attempted it but it might sound as loud as the PS4, overheat and the chance of RROD II appearing again. The PS3 was one of the biggest consoles in history at launch due to the same fear Sony were feeling and Sony managed to shrink it significantly when the die decreases and became more efficient over time.

All the improvements of the Slim are welcome as the smaller form, improved power efficiency, UHD media playback, new controller improvements all add up with no price increase. That is what is important.

The 4k blu ray format wasn't finalised 2 years ago. So it couldn't have had the player then.

People forget the manufacturing process wasnt even viable 2 years ago. Not to mention the lower thermals and the more quiet operation of the Xbox in comparison to the PS4.

@BigLurch most of the time PS4's get loud because the fan gets full of dust. Cleared out my PS4 then it was good as new. Obviously there were problems in the launch models, but those are gone now.

Very hard to belive when we all know Sony did this 3 years ago out from the start, not from a revised model, and as of today, the PS4 is still smaller than the Xbox S.

The PS4 is the true marbel of engineering. Not to downplays the Xbox S, but Sony got it right from the beginning, not from the second chance.

The PS4 needs a revision, namely one that doesn't sound like a jet engine. Has a longer USB controller battery life and doesn't wobble due to poorly measured dimensions on flat surfaces. The PS4 looks sleek and sexy but it is by no means perfect. I'm ready for a PS Slim or Neo whichever comes first

wobble? how and why is your console wobbling? I've pretty much gone completely digital, so no need for me to touch my console... On a side note, I've gone all digital cause my PS4 keeps spitting out my discs. So yea, maybe time for a revision here.

Xbox S is the BEST version of the Xbox consoles... before the Scorpio comes, of course. Best console around, that depends a lot on what games you like, and if you have a 4K tv with HDR. Making a hyperbole blanket statement is what gets people going. BTW this bit isn't aimed toward @Sm00thNinja

Your PS4 is full of dust that's why it sounds like that. Mine did as well until I cleaned it now it's quiet again. Also the PS4 fan isn't the size of a Walmart fan like the Xbox.... joking of course but the fan is much bigger....

When I bought my new PS4 it wasnt full of dust and was uncomfortably loud in my bedroom. It also produced an undesirable amount of heat, vibrated and hummed loudly when a disc was being read.

They took the George Foreman grill meme literally and decided to make cooking on it a feature. lol.

So no it was not that great of a design when it failed on those fronts.

if you're talking about the broken launch models, then yeah. Most of the time though, the PS4 fan gets full of dust, causing it too get loud and overheat. I clear out my PS4 once in 2 months, @Blow ain't bsing.

Best Console?? Really?? In what regards? Size? It is still slightly bigger than PS4. Games? What exclusive does it have this month? PS4 has no mans sky. Specs?? We all know this is still the same Xbox one just smaller with upgraded components. So PS4 is still superior specwise. Tell me how is this the best console?? I'm picking it up. I have been w Sony since ps1 but they have been lacking bad this generation. A few good games have come out but not much. At least w this Id be able to get some games that ps4 promises but takes an extra year to release (like Ark: Survival Evolved, Sony says December hahaha ya we know that will be delayed at least til late Spring) or games like Sea of Thieves. Starting to doubt Sonys commitment to consumers and I want games...Not just remasters. They are causing Xbox to gain some new users. I just don't like the Xbox controllers.
