Eiji Aonouma points out how Zelda consistently remains unique

The Legend of Zelda consistently remains unique by adding new features to its games, despite them not being revolutionary, according to Eiji Aonouma, such as the series' newfound day/night cycle or stealth mechanic.

"We try not to focus too much on whether it's already been done. We think, ok, it's been done before, but how can we implement it in our game and make it our own, unique experience?" Aonouma said.
