Outlander's great strength continues to be its impressive cast, led by Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan but just as consistent all the way down to one-off guest stars. Its production value and costumes continue to impressive and bring to life this slightly fantastical twist on history. Where Outlander stumbles is in its pacing; for all of its standout episodes, there are some that suffer from its serialized storytelling and dedication to the source material.
