GameCritics: "As a critic, I play a lot of games. Like, a lot. I see many of the same things over and over and over again—the same ideas, the same mechanics, the same tricks. Of course that’s not to say a game has to be unique to be good, but it takes more than a quirky art style or slight twist to catch my attention. So, when I come across a title that not only delivers several new ideas but also nails them, I sit up and pay attention."
The venerable Nintendo 3DS is entering its twilight years. After a rocky, uncertain launch, the system built a following and a library that allowed it to become one of the most successful systems released, and it certainly has the top-tier games to show for it. Before [people] put the handheld into long-term storage (or if [someone is] just now getting one), check out [Michibiku's] guide for the best the system has to offer!
Colin K. from Link-Cable writes: "7th Dragon III Code: VFD is a turn based RPG developed and published for the 3DS by Sega, and released in North America way back in June of 2016. I hadn’t heard anything about this game until I saw it in my local used game shop, , the two clerks knew nothing about it, and everyone I’ve talked to since I bought it hasn’t heard anything about it. That’s really a shame, because I discovered an absolutely fantastic RPG that day."
"Okay, let’s get this out of the way – the title of this game is pretty ridiculous. That said, I enjoyed it far more than the demo ever hinted that I could and I spent the majority of one of my days playing it. Thankfully, I didn’t need prior experience with the series to enjoy this one."
