New Devil May Cry Game Could Ignore Ninja Theory DmC Reboot

Although a new Devil May Cry title (from Capcom) has not been confirmed yet, rumors hint it will ignore Ninja Theory's Devil May Cry DmC reboot.

I hated dmc4 because it brought nothing compared to the previous ones. Dmc added a lot to gameplay.. If you decide to hate a game because the main character doesn't fit in isn't very mature reaction.
I'll be happy if they go back to the original design of Dante, but i can't deny they should take the things the reboot did right as well.

Yeah I don't know what you're smoking, but it must be good. It's very clear that you've never even played DMC4 otherwise you wouldn't be saying something so false. DMC4 added a lot gameplay wise, DmC actually REMOVED gameplay options.

I agree by the the 4th DMC I was bored of the gameplay,the NT version of DmC was like a breath of fresh air,I really enjoyed it!

Agreed, I'm going to flat out say I loved the reboot. I'm not really going to compare it because that's nut how my mind and opinions form but even if so I like the game. My only real gripe was it wasn't 60fps I launch. Loved the universe liked the concept and premise, nothing against Dante or Virgil at all
Edit: Looks like in time after it stopped being cool to hate DmC Purple started to have legit opinions about it. It's the BvS of games, cool. Anything to keep people from being sheeple

The game play never changed from the original formula.
Altough it was at it's best in DMC 3&4, DMC 1 has the best story and also had great game play, the original not the remake.

I was one of those who prematurely judged the new Dante in DmC, but I finally bought the Definitive Edition for PS4 earlier this year and had an absolute blast with it. The new Dante wasn't so bad, either. He actually grew on me.

Admittedly, I haven't played all the classic DMC games (yet), but I'm familiar with it enough to understand some of the complaints about DmC. I ended up buying the DMC HD Collection for PS3 because DmC renewed my interest in the franchise, and that's not a bad thing.

Sorry but that was Dante from dmc2, the worst Dmc game in my opinion, even worse than the reboot. The real Dante is the dmc1 or dmc4. True story.

However, it will be tough to replicate that Dante cheesiness with HD visuals...
I liked DmC combat the most though, because of the free flowing combat...
Just an increase in the speed would do it for me...

I never played the other dmcs before I played the reboot. I personally loved it. I think it would've been better received if it was a completely new ip. I would have been mad too if they changed the character of a beloved title.

I have only played DmC and DMC4 and I must say while the character was much better in DMC4, I found the gameplay frustrating at times. My main issue was the fixed camera angles and I cant tell you how many times that has gotten me killed because it would suddenly change without warning, screwing me up with the controls and forcing me to re-position myself. Also I found several enemies extremely cheap and could get me killed quickly. I also hated the fact that about halfway through the game you're forced to play as Dante with all new movesets after getting used to playing as Nero. It also didn't help that I would have to retread several levels again but just with a different character. I found that incredibly lazy.

Both games has it flaws for sure but personally I had more issues with DMC4 overall gameplay-wise. The gameplay in both were very fun though. But I hated the fixed camera angle. Please don't bring it back if they continue off of DMC4 and just stick to one character throughout the whole game. If you want to add more playable characters, let us pick the option to start a new campaign with that said character, don't force it on us.

honestly, I hope so. I would rather it be based off the original series than that other game. It's about time that Capcom made another Devil May Cry game in house....or give it to platinum games. I would like to see a Dante with some meaning instead of what we got last time.

Honestly, I hope we a get a sequel to DMC3 or a continuation of 4. I would like to know where Nero actually came from and what happened to Virgil. Not to mention, 4 has the best cast of characters IMO (or at least the MOST characters) to play as in the series.

I would love to see a co-op online mode where Dante AND Virgil could fight through the story together, online and offline.Maybe even have team attacks and specific specials that unlock when you're together ala Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks

Yeah, **** at GOOD game. Especially it's definitive edition that fixed the problems the original somewhat had and gave the decision of making it the second if not THE hardest DMC game so far, and lets go back to the original...That's now focusing on an unlikable brat that makes DmC Dante seems lovable, a Special Edition that was way overhyped and came out underwhelming, and a Capcom that would most likely pour Day 1 DLC, and Microtransactions just like they did with the Special Edition.

DmC honestly felt like a modern, refund and a tad more forward thinking with controls and camera.
