Next Major Sonic Game Will Be Released in 2017

"A recent event held by SEGA at Joypolis has revealed that the long mysterious new Sonic game will be released some time next year. Currently it's unknown what this title will be but several hints lead us to believe that it could be a remake of a classic Sonic game."

I always thought it was strange they got a contract with Nintendo for 3 Sonic games when Xbox and PS4 reflect Sega better. I mean, the Xbox controller looks like a straight port of the Dreamcast controller. What were they thinking?

"Sonic Boom Ice and Fire"

From what I hear, Sonic Boom 2 will never happen ... for good reason.

I'm curious, do people really like the blue hedgehog? I used to find it alright back when it was the Sega mega drive, back in the 90s. But now I couldn't bare to play another sonic game, 2d platform or a poor 3d attempt.

I'm just curious on how big the fan Base is for Sonic.

I'm still a big Sonic fan and the fanbase is still pretty big. There are tons of moaners though, they moan about everything, especially the characters. I actually like the side characters in Sonic. I'm actually one of the rare Sonic fans that much prefers the 3D games over the 2D ones.

When sonic is good, it's really good. When sonic is shit, it's REALLY shit. We've had a lot more bad games than good games at this point in time. If SEGA actually put a budget and a talented team behind a Sonic game it could be an amazing thing. Unfortunately for SEGA, they've always been a more miss than hit company since their inception.

Screw sonic, what about the other great titles in your vault Sega. Fans have been asking for decades for up to date version of your vaulted and forgotten by you games, while us fans have been let down time after time again.

Bring me a decent golden axe game, but most of all an epic streets of rage, reboot and redo them from the ground up in today's graphics with a ton of features and gameplay. Streets of rage could also work well as an mmorpg.

It better not be a remake, we don't need them. If it's Sonic Adventure 3, it will be so cool. It has to have a Chao World though. A Sonic Adventure game without a Chao World wouldn't feel complete. A Chao World could be brilliant on today's consoles if effort is put into it.
