Dead Rising 4 is the only exclusive they seem to have to push specifically for the holiday.

But they have Forza, Gears 4, and ReCore for the fall which will still drive holiday sales.

They didn't say anything about Sea of Thieves being delayed though, so there's hope there.

That is strange...now that you mention it, I didn't catch them mentioning it as an exclusive at all. I may have missed it but that's a good point. I fully expect it to be an exclusive, but it seems like they'd have made a bigger point out of mentioning it.

To play devil's advocate, MS caught a lot of flak for advertising RotTR as 'Only on Xbox Holiday 2015', so if it's timed, this may be a reaction to that. In lieu of nailing down its exclusive status, they don't say anything at all. Anybody got any official link that confirms it's exclusivity status?

Eh most of the games announced last year for both have been. More companies need to use the Bethesda formula of announcing shortly before. Look at Andromeda. E3 press conference was like a how to on what not to do.

Bethesda is able to do that because they publish their own games, and can carry the cost over month to month/year to year becuase of the franchises liek wolfenstein, Doom, Fallout and elderscrolls.

its more difficult to do for games that are being published by other companies as they want their money and they want it fast (publishers) afterall alot of companies now factor in presales into budgets to develop the game, which it shouldnt be.

I'm happy about the Win 10 announcement, now there is NO reason to invest in an X1. The delay sucks but my backlog is so huge it's OK.

I thought this game could only be played on X1 with the "Cloud". Nvm...I forgot about using Live through PC....soooo technically its the same. But anyways, they still should have showed this game. I don't care what anyone says. Obviously, the cloud isn't ready yet. Saving for a launch title for Scorpio? Hmmmm

I said it will be delayed. XB is looking a little slim on games for 2017 so maybe this needed to happen. The holidays are always packed with heavy hitters.
