Quake is Back

Quake : Champions was announced at the beginning of Bethesda's E3 conference.

Yea, true all 3 are back.. But.. tbh i was looking forward to the Quake 1 style of game, and this looks like its just an Arena style game, literally.

ID expressed interest in going back to the Q1 style.. i didn't think they would make a Q3 arena tho, bit disappointing.

It's because of "options" that games are gimped and buggy, they no longer focus on one platform and make it a perfect as they can , they just release glitchy games and fix them after launch, yeah 2016 is not so great.

I agree, but the money is where the crowd is, and with so many FPS vying for king shit, a PC exclusive (with what will most likely be high minimum requirements) isn't gonna bring the numbers like... well everyone else.

A lot of PC gamers will eat this right up. It'll do fine. The high minimum requirements won't effect it, just look at Star Citizen.

Was secretly hoping that the new Quake would have had Quake 1 style singleplayer for console folks, because I personally would be too embarassed to play Quake MP with a gamepad... My PC is probably not up for the task, so I cant jump in.

Oh well, at least we got a new one! If this one is going to have as long of a lifespan as the old ones, I should be just fine when I may finally upgrade my PC >:)

I'll be happy IF it has: weapon pickups, classic movement system, no level up system, uncompressed skillgap, rail gun/rocket/lightning gun, some maps from q3a and rocket arena, rocket jumping. This guy will be very happy.

Quake Champions features a roster of unique characters, each with their own distinctive abilities, allowing you to fight the way you want.

I loved Q3 Arena as it was a level playing field.

yup. its too early to tell but looking at id's track record lately with doom being a mix of cod/halo it isn't a stretch to assume this new quake game will be a copy of overwatch

That's what I am afraid of too, if they had kept it like Q3 I would of been straight in there (albeit a lot slower nowadays).
