When it released in 2005, the original Mercenaries was a fun and interesting title that took the open-world sandbox concepts of the Grand Theft Auto series and gave it a different focus, putting you in the shoes of a mercenary-for-hire in a war-torn city. Now, the sequel is launching on next-gen consoles, and it offers what you'd expect, namely more weapons, vehicles, explosions and a bigger environment to explore. Additionally, there are some great touches to keep the game interesting, including co-op multiplayer. All in all, Mercenaries 2 touches on the same vein as its predecessor, but packs a much bigger punch.

There are oh, so many sequels in video games these days. We've got eight games that we wish would get a follow up.
I cant agree with a lot of games on this list. Far, far more deserving entries - which I wont go into now. All I will say is Blast Corps U...I can dream, cant I?
The Darkness games are among my favorite games of last gen. Both were very unique in their own ways. I'd love to see a third iteration though I doubt it'll happen.

Well apart from Jak and Daxter the rest are total crap and I for 1 are glad there was no more of that crap, now if you want to talk about Heavenly sword and Medievil now thats 2 that should have another go at this gen

not sure how well it would be without coop, but my buddy and i are having a ball blowing this country to pieces. we are always yelling WOW, Holy $hit, etc.... definite fun with a buddy!
