"Ever since the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 hit the market, remastered versions of games have been a part of their libraries. Some developers put a lot of heart and soul into these upgrades, while other games show the hand of publishers and higher-ups pushing forcing the developers to get a product to the market. According to leaks and rumors, two “remastered” games that we will be getting are new versions of Skyrim and the original Dead Rising. The question is will these games be the former or the later? Do we even need these remasters in the first place?"
That judicious lack of oversight permeated everything in Bethesda's RPGs, in a positive fashion.
I much prefer a left alone Obsidian and Larian Studios. Bethesda's formula has grown old for me.
Skyrim blew my mind when it released. That game took me to the gaming, promisedland. Going back to it when it was updated for the PS5, it felt slightly rough around the edges, but great for its time
We should leave Obsidian alone. Bethesda on the other hand should be kept under constant psychiatric observation.
Big Bethesda Nintendo Switch eShop sale now live with lowest prices ever for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Doom (2016), and more.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has been updated to support true Physically Based Rendering thanks to the release of Community Shaders 1.0.
I thought DR was going to be a remake/re-imagining? Or does it also come with a remastered version of DR1?
basically no ..smthing they probably found out the hard way (add also the overrated lame Bioshock collection ..who the hell asked for these games..:/? )
Dead Rising isn't getting remastered
Hmm. I think that the Dead Rising one could be intriguing. Like the article says, since it's a re-imagining, there should be a lot of hard work put into it, so it could be something special. As for the Skyrim remaster, it doesn't personally intrigue me. It's not going to offer anything I haven't gotten on my PC. Might be cool for console owners though?
Dead Rising is a remake-retelling, like what Capcom did for Resident Evil
I'm fine with that, they take the past experience, remake and add onto it
As for Skyrim...well it does have mod support If they make sure the mod support is full of content at launch for both consoles then it won't be as bad.
Would be nice if they maybe add a small new expansion for it in the future, or maybe take a current mod one, add onto it and make it official.
