BiPolarBear of Geek Node writes: "I have a little bit of an awkward confession to make. Even though I'm Geek Node's resident Nintendo fanboy, I only played my first Kirby game at the beginning of 2015. I managed to pick up Kirby: Triple Deluxe for a ridiculous price and fell in love with it from the moment I put it in my 3DS. It's not that the game had a major impact on me or was of any particular challenge, but the cute adventure just played as something that I haven't experienced in quite a while. It was a fun game for the sake of being fun and when Kirby: Planet Robobot was announced I was hoping for, oddly enough, more of the same. Thankfully the latest Kirby adventure has managed to deliver exactly that, while still managing to hang on to the same charm and whimsy."
Nintendo's 3DS action-platformer, Kirby: Planet Robobot, is set for a Nintendo Switch launch later this year, based on a new rumor.
I still haven't played this on my 3DS, I nabbed it before the 3DS estore shut down.
Half-Glass Gaming: "Production of the 3DS has been discontinued as of September of 2020, but there’s definitely an argument to be made for adopting the system in 2021, especially if you just really like playing awesome video games."
Alex S. from Link Cable Gaming writes: "While the games obviously are selling well for Nintendo to keep making them, I am starting to get a bit sick of the formula that has been offered in the mainline Kirby games since 2011."
Like a lot of other franchises this year Kirby has an anniversary coming up. I'll be shocked if there wasn't some sort or new Kirby game this year. I also vaguely remember a dev stating they had big plans for the IP in the near future.
I'd like to see a 3D platformer Kirby, like Super Mario 3D World.
