Motocross and dirt bike racing in all its forms have had a long standing relationship with videogames, dating all the way back to the classic Excitebike, before evolving into games such as the MX vs ATV series or Motocross Madness. These games combined forgiving handling and huge tricks to create fun, arcadey experiences. MXGP 2 is not one of those games. Focusing more on simulating the actual sport of MX rather than the pursuit of gnarly air (bikers say gnarly, right?), MXGP 2 features all the licensed bikes, riders, sponsors and tracks from the official MXGP series, and it’s about as hard to learn and be successful at as the real thing.
