He can probably borrow Sony's first party developers game engine if he wants too. Naughty Dog or Santa Monica Studio probably wouldn't mind helping out especially the ICE TEAM.

NapalmSanctuary3326d ago

Seems like it would be more convenient to just borrow one.

Hideo Kojima Want to Release His New PS4 Game "As Soon as Possible;" Will Use a Third Party Engine, thus Grand Turismo Sport Engine would be a great choice. Reason why Grand Turismo Sport Engine is better than Naughty Dog engine for Japanese are simply because it is in Japanese. PS4 already 2 years, both Unreal 4, Unity 5 face difficulty being adopt by Japanese Game Developers, simply because they have hard time understanding it. By using Grand Turismo Sport Engine not only SONY able to improve Grand Turismo, but expand SONY game development capacity into various gaming genre, especially console JRPGs.

In which case the game might not go to PC, much less have any chance of showing up on the Xbox.

UltraNova3326d ago (Edited 3326d ago )

?? Haven't you heard that his 1st game will be a ps4 exclusive?

I seriously hope he will stay away from Unreal engine...I hate that waxy, ultra shiny look.

His best choice would be SE's LUMINOUS engine(if he can make a deal with SE that is). Great looking, flexible and made by Japanese.

Another choice would be Cry Engine which is available for purchasing.

Or Unity 5 would be ok...just OK though.

opinionated3326d ago

That wouldn't be 3rd party though. My guess is unreal. He's not a Sony studio and I doubt he wants to be after the konami fiasco.

Let him enjoy his independence as a second party studio. At least for a few games lol.

Naughty dog's engine on pc.... hnnnggg

NextGenCeo3326d ago

Naughty Dog Is the ICE TEAM! (Beat any Uncharted game and watch credits) And he can't borrow Sony engine because he is going to multiplatform for first game. PC and PS4. So i think he is using Unreal 4 or Unity engine. (Sorry for my english i'm esl guy)

If that is true then it sounds like it would be more substantial than just Ultimate Deluxe plus a few new characters.
