For Souls that image is just too dark. They like there detail with a little light on them so you can see it better and maybe even notice it. Nice pictures though.

Yeah too dark needs more light sources. That said I never liked Unreal engine games, I don't know its as if everything is covered in hardened wax or something.

That was an issue with UE3. This is UE4 and its way more advanced.

Yeah it is but until I see some full AAA games running most of this engine's assets, the jury's out on whether I'll change my mind or not.

Looks beautiful, bloodborne is already very pretty though. But I wouldn't be mad if fromsoft start using unreal engine 4.

i really hope not...U4 engine suffers from a lot of things that are not present in their specific engine ...as it seems is easy to use but has problems in their visuals which are not all appealing (ex blinding light effects etcetc)

Framepacing is a issue in BB & Dark souls 3 has the same issue on top of fps drops. I'd have no issues with them moving to a different game engine if they choose since the technical aspect in their games has never been great.

That was my first thought. This looks nice, but not THAT much better than the actual game. If you removed the fireflies I wouldn't even know the difference, really. Bloodborne is a gorgeous game.

It does look great. Guess different atmosphere might be best said.

While it looks great I still prefer and am glad for how it originally looks. There are some nice touches but it's too bright & the leaves in pics 2 & 3 are a bit plastic looking. Overall though it's undoubtably a great recreation and a great job done.

I think it looks better, it's a lot crisper & the light coming off the lanterns/moon looks great while retaining the originals look.

If you are going to compare then please provide similar resolutions.

Bloodborne is native 1080p or 1920x1080 pixels
The picture you showed was 900p or 1600x900 pixels.

That said I do think EA DICE’s environment artist, Simon Barle has done a wonderful job in recreating the Bloodborne Hunter's Dream environment beautify. Take a look at his http://www.simonbarle.com/ web page for more environments he has created.

If you are going to compare, why do you show a vignette image against a larger image?

Basically Bloodborne is full 1080p (1920x1080 pixels).
What you showed is 900p (1600x900 pixels)

Why Unreal engine 4 tho? why not just use DICE own engine Frostbite 3

He must have access to original assets o something to be able to get it so accurate, geometrically. I think this looks far better than the game.

I thought that was one of the draws of UE 4 you could import assets and yeah I would say he done that instead of creating them from scratch as otherwise he may of used FB3 to showcase that engine.

It looks good, but the atmosphere is off. It looses that dream-like feeling the Hunter's Dream so rightfully has. Still, it's a job well done and amazing from a technical standpoint, it's just that artistically it's lacking the soul of Bloodborne's Nightmare.
