It does look good. It runs pretty good too. Only had 2 freezing issues through 8 events.

The AA is noticeable in all the screenshots, but those VW Golf rain screenshots show quite few differences wow.

Vasto3325d ago

It is one of the best looking games period.

Utalkin2me3325d ago

We obviously played 2 different games. I'm running it full tilt other then msaa and shadows, and it looks decent. Also i wish you could turn off windshield reflections, more annoying then anything. Cause it doesn't look right.

Vasto3324d ago (Edited 3324d ago )

You need a better PC.

You are not running full tilt because nothing should be turned off especially msaa and shadows. lol

I am playing on High with everything on and would be playing on Ultra but it requires 16GB Of Ram and I only have 8GB. Already ordered another 8GB so Ultra here I come.

starchild3325d ago

This beta does look awesome. And the dynamic settings are such a fresh and good idea for PC gaming.

iistuii3325d ago (Edited 3325d ago )

I downloaded it & after trying to run it the game says I don't meet the required graphics card specs & quits lol, typical as I've a GTX 980ti, stupid..

_-EDMIX-_3325d ago

I guess they still need to work out some issues but Microsoft kind of needs to get this together really quickly considering Quantum break had lots of issues for a PC game made by a company that actually makes the OS I think they need to kind of step it up and spend a bit more money on these transfer jobs and seek the best teams possible to make sure the PC version is a shining example of their initiative to bring games to PC.

I think from here on out the games will run much better because they'll be made with PC in mind during the development as opposed to being transferred over to .

But as many of you know as somebody that supported this concept of this company bringing games to PC since day one of its initial rumors even I'm a bit worried that some of the technical issues but I have faith that they could get it together with a good number of teams to make them run well because if they want to be the stable developer on PC and edged out a team like valve they need to see what valve does and put the same effort if they want the same respect they need to compete on their level.

tinynuggins3325d ago

Remedy doesn't make the Windows OS, you're thinking of Microsoft. :)

_-EDMIX-_3325d ago

Microsoft owns the IP overseeing the development is there job.

I'm not sure why you thought it would be the job of a paid developer to oversee the IP of a company that owns it.....

Khaotic3323d ago

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure remedy owns the IP as well

_-EDMIX-_3323d ago

@Khaotic- Nope. This was answered a while ago by another user, MS owns the QB IP.

Remedy would have no ode to make a great port as its not their IP, its MS. You don't blame Naughty Dog if the Uncharted Port goes bad as MOST TIMES the original team isn't porting the game over, its being outsourced by a team that has experience in such a technique. As the owner of the IP, they would be in charge of getting someone to do this process and be the blame if something went wrong.

Its easy to just say the team is bad, the team did it...but consider you're home is under construction, the folks working on you're home are being paid...BY YOU to do a good job. The end result is more so based on you, then on them. Would you pay them if they did an incomplete job? Would you leave the house the way they left it if the did it wrong? No...you would find SOMEONE ELSE! Take them to court etc. At the end of the day, when ports like SFIV on PS4 went bad, I didn't just look at Other Ocean, I looked at CAPCOM! When ports like Arkham Knight went bad...I looked at Warner Brothers...why?

THEY OWN THE IP, THEY are overseeing the project, seeing the issues.....letting it slide. Is it not their responsibility as owners of the IP? Sorry but I'm not going to throw Remedy under the bus because of a rushed port of an IP they don't even own.

They didn't ok its release, MS did.

Did you download the latest driver?!

iistuii3325d ago

yes installed twice, got the Nvidia 365.10 driver, GTX 980 ti & it wont let me in..

traumadisaster3325d ago (Edited 3325d ago )

me too, so I went to the forums and a work around is at the screen to quit because of the error, when you select quit hold down the page up button. That got me through...I guess a work around during beta. Next it stalled at a loading screen and I gave it one more try and it worked.

Good thing, I run 4k and have always loved fm since the original but haven't played lately cause the gfx haven't kept up with pc, and it is what I've always wanted. 4k60fps FM! plays and look fantastic for me

OrangePowerz3325d ago (Edited 3325d ago )

Too bad it has no wheel support at all right now. Until that gets patched in I won't be playing it. It is beyond me how they can't be bothered to have wheel support. It's essential for a racing game on PC and it doesn't matter if it's Beta or not.

Errorist763325d ago

Are you serious?!!! Holy...

OrangePowerz3325d ago

That it has no wheel support? Jep, I was not able find any way in the options to get my wheel to work. There is only keyboard and controller. I couldn't even map anything to the wheel buttons.

Zeref3325d ago (Edited 3325d ago )

It's a beta. it does matter. A beta is not going to have all final features. Saying "it doesn't matter if its beta" is like saying this rice is hard it doesn't matter if its undercooked.
people like you should stay away from betas and from rice...

@OrangePowerz

Its called a beta for a reason.

OrangePowerz3325d ago (Edited 3325d ago )

Come on, we are talking about a racing game on the PC. Wheel support is a standard feature and must have for racing games on the PC and shouldn't be an afterthought. The X1 version has wheel support so I don't see why they wouldn't have been able to implement that for the first release of the PC Beta.

A Beta should have at least the most essential features and wheel support is one of them. It would have been in the best interest of Turn 10 to launch with wheel support because the competition on PC is far stronger than on consoles for racing games.

Edit: I assume you don't have much to do within the PC racing community. It doesn't matter if it's a Beta, wheel support is essential on PC. It's fine on consoles where you don't have many wheels and not that many people have racing wheels, but that's not the case on PC where actually a considerable amount of people have proper racing setups with a large enthusiast userbase that will outright skip it without wheel support. It's obvious that this is the first time Turn10 is releasing something on PC. It's like if the early access Star Citizen version wouldn't support Flighsticks.

Not much point arguing anyway, plenty of other better racing games on PC to play :)

Top 10 Rarest Cars in Forza History

KeenGamer: "See the top 10 rarest cars to ever appear in Forza history! Thousands of cars have been featured in Forza since launch and only a handful of them have been really difficult to obtain or, in current state, impossible to drive around with. Although they were once obtainable, it's only for a limited time and, most times, for a certain price."

What's the benefit of delisting games? Curious.

Italiano12345672128d ago

Theres no benefit. They just dont renew the licenses for the songs and cars so after the 15th u cant buy it

mandingo2128d ago (Edited 2128d ago )

Oh licenses. That makes sense. So if you have it digitally already you can still play it you just cant buy it?

Cobra9512128d ago (Edited 2128d ago )

Yeah, the expiring-licenses thing is a blight on the scene. There literally ought to be a law. Once something is licensed for a product, it should never become an impediment later on. Simple consumer protection. In racing games, both the cars and the music would be locked in place. The developer can't add newer car models, or different songs. I don't see why that would hurt the profits of car companies or artists. Newer games would have to license the newer cars and songs, or even the same ones.

Edit: mandingo, that's right.

rainslacker2128d ago (Edited 2128d ago )

Saving on licensing costs.

@cobra

They could pay more for perpetual licenses, but after 4 years, chances are they arent going to be making much of a return on the game anymore.

lodossrage2128d ago

again, a music license issue. This is the same reason Driveclub is getting delisted next year.

I'm sorry, but if music rights can be the cause of a product being delisted, they need to either have unlicensed music because this is ridiculous. This is actually another reason to be concerned about an all-digital future.

bolimekurac2128d ago

or hopefully when ugly things stick their head out like this music license issue, that the companies do the right thing and find a solution so this doesnt happen, then we can complain if they dont. Digital games is fairly new so why dont we first see if the companies fix these issues that pop up. not that we shouldnt be heard and to let them know about these issues but at least lets not attack them for no reason

lodossrage2128d ago

@bolimekurac,

They've already had years to deal with this. This isn't the first instance of license music altering a game in some form. Crazy Taxi wasn't even allowed to be released with the original soundtrack and many of the real world stores in the game were cut for licenses.

I know it's not exactly' the same, but the issues is close enough that the industry as a whole should have realized this would be a problem even back in the ps3/ 360 era win crazy taxi was re-released for modern day.

traumadisaster2128d ago (Edited 2128d ago )

Oh crap idk about drive club, I’m so glad you mentioned it, and I just happen to be in this article. I’ve been wanting that game but was waiting until ps5 to get it. Now i need to check into this cause hell I’ll buy it now if I need to.

It looks like there is a hard copy version, so I can pick that up cheap, the online stuff which I don’t usually do is what goes away in 2020, and it can’t be bought on psn

KickSpinFilter2128d ago

Oh you should def get Driveclub such a great game now after server/updates. One of my all time fav racers. Nice mix of Arcade/Sim. Not Sim, Arcade or Sim/Arcade.

rainslacker2128d ago

I'd highly recommend bikes if you get driveclub. Lots of fun. The vr version is also good if you have psvr.

About the only thing you're going to lose with the delisting is the online functions as well. Driveclub is playable in SP with lots of content though. It's just being part of a club and user challenges or throw downs won't be available after they shut down the servers.

DaDrunkenJester2128d ago

Or it's not that big of a deal since it's a long running franchise and there is already the newer versions you can still buy. If you already own FM6 you can still play it.

spicelicka2128d ago

This is a definitely a huge concern for an all-digital future. Along the fact that they can control whatever price they want you to pay even 5 years later, like Destiny and Call of Duty. You can't even buy the original games anymore, they just re-bundle them and force you to pay full price again.

WiiU-Dude2128d ago

It happens in other entertainment too. I have seen DVD series held up for years because of music licensing issues. It is annoying. I agree with the person that it should be a one time deal. With the creation of a product, things like music licensing should be done with that product going forward. Such a headache apparently.

Good thing physical copies will always exist for purchase in a thriving used game market.

CobraKai2128d ago

There’s at least 3 people who like games being delisted; never to be played again.

Software_Lover2128d ago

But you still have to download the data unfortunately...…..

traumadisaster2128d ago

I just bought this a few months ago on a very cheap sale, then I think recently it was added to game pass.
