There May Not Be Enough Copies of Uncharted 4 for Sale on Release Day

Yeah you need to preorder a game of this pedigree you know it's going to be something special I can remember when heavy rain came out on ps3 all copies sold out everywhere.

This article is in regards to India "Earlier this week we reported that while Sony has plans to make Uncharted 4 highly visible the world over, the same level of commitment cannot be expected of Sony India. At the time, we were told that there would be around 9,500 copies of the game available at launch. However that number seems to be a lot lower."

The only game i can think of in the past 5 years that was out of stock launch day was Fire Emblem Awakening and that's because of a shipping issue or they just under-shipped last i heard, i don't think you'll have to worry about getting this game launch day.

It literally just popped into my head last week that I never pre ordered uncharted and they mightn't have any left on Tuesday!! That's good to know it's just India. There's usually more than enough copies these days anyway. I went to the midnight launch of GTA V at my local gamestop without a pre order and got a copy no problem. Considering there's only a fraction of PS4's out there compared to how many PS3/360's there was at the time that launched, it shouldn't be a problem getting Uncharted on Tuesday. And now I've probably just gone and jinxed myself for saying that and it'll be sold out everywhere for 3 months.

Bingo! There will be all the copies you'll ever need. As a matter of fact by the information stated I can see Uncharted doing an explosive amount of digital sales thereby skewing the actual physical sales figures since NPD and many retailers don't report digital sales. I do believe Uncharted 4 will be the highest selling Uncharted and will go out with a bang as well as being the highest rated PS4 exclusive.

I realise this may come as a shock to you but not everyone likes Call of Duty or Battlefield games or even First Person Shooters for that matter.

As for being able to afford a $3000 PC big deal that is small change to some who can design, build and customise their own PC yet still like to play their games on a console, especially for a game that will not come to a PC running a Microsoft operating system.

I would imagine its going to he pretty rare to find somebody with a PS4 that isn't getting this game on or around day 1. Sales will easily be 20 million the first week, and probably split around 50\50 download vs physical. So Sony has to print at least 10 million disks to keep up with the demand.

Now if the vast majority of PS4 owners get the game we are talking around 30-35 million week one sales, and 15+ million physical copies. That's a lot of disks to print!
