Different people reviewed it for gameapot. Each had different tastes. Tom mcshay reviewed last of us back in the day and gave it an 8. Personally I really like him and his opinions even though tlou was pretty much a 10 on 10 for me.

Just keep in mind different people review different games over there.

Agreed. Dark Souls III is really great. I only wish outlets that report GOTY have "niche" titles as viable options going forward so that we can see how Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE or Persona 5 might stack up.

Neither have a snowball's chance, but it'd be nice if we didn't always jump to the universally known titles.

While, UC4 definitely is a GOTY nominee, I wouldn't say it's the first. I have to say that Dark Souls 3 is definitely GOTY material too.

I have a feeling that UC4 will get it though, based on the reviews and my past experience with the franchise.

I have to agree. I don't know if I've ever seen in action series release with this number of amazing titles as we all have our favorite IPs that have a couple of bad entries lol.

The only series that I could possibly think of would be Metal Gear Solid but I always put that more so into stealth Action than just action by itself. The four Uncharted games are really a series on to themselves and regards to perfection.

I truly hope that this is what they have in store for The Last of Us.

Its not that difficult. All you have to do is buy a PS4 and you can enjoy it. No need to be sad over not being able to play it.

Remember, its up to you to decide if you can play the game or not.

Let go of whatever negative feelings you have over the PS4 and embrace the system and NaughtyDogs latest masterpiece.

I tried to tell you. Its a very lengthy campaign. I got around 16 hours but from reading other reviews they got around 18 to 20 hrs

It's still early. You still have a day or two to feel vindicated with your prediction. You won't be vindicated, but at least you can hold onto a couple more days of feeling that you make good predictions. If anything, your prediction wasn't actually wrong though....so there is that.:)

Me, I'm just excited because I just finished up R&C which was awesome, just to move onto another awesome game which promises to be a longer experience.:)

Scores are off the charts for a truly amazing next gen experience. This game looks insane and ND have raised the bar so high with this masterpiece. THIS also shows how truly capable the PS4 as well in many respects. Beastly game on a beastly system.

No he means that single player is what the majority of people play Uncharted games for and it's where most of the focus went.

But I'm hyped for it's MP, loved U2's and TLoU's and I really enjoyed what I played of the U4 beta. Reviewers tend to unfairly overlook ND's MP modes so don't let that remark bother you.

This is how you craft a true masterpiece. Great gameplay, effects, best animations in the industry, best graphics on console by a mile, fun and all at 1080p in the campaign side, with a solid, good looking, competent mp.
You can feed into devs bs about cutting extreme corners to fulfill some of their visions but ND once again has showed you can have it all by just cutting slight corners

Once again a game in the 90s meta fora ND game with tons of reviews counted in their score (more reviews higher probability a game will score lower) and they still have over 90 meta (as oppossed to some games with over a 90 meta that were only reviewed by like 20 ppl-big difference).

Kudos to ND arguably the best devs in the industry and def. one of the most consistent!

I'm very very happy about the scores the game's getting but dammit, is there a single review released yet that doesn't begin every single paragraph with a story or location spoiler?? I know it's hard to give an in depth analysis of a game without having to mention specific things but really it's starting to seem like a 'review' is supposed to be a beat by beat description of the plot and a list of all the locations in the game.

How about something more like, 'The game looks beautiful, especially in the more rural areas but the controls can be a little finicky at points' rather than (don't worry I'm making this up off the top of my head, if these things are in the game I don't know it) 'the moment Drake has to pilot a plane through a canyon reveals some pretty finicky controls as does the surfing section toward the end of the game but it's worth putting up with them for stunning moments like swinging through the treetops of an African jungle or fist fighting your way through a Chinese village'? I just want to find out how much the reviewer enjoyed the experience of playing through the game, not every single thing I'll be doing when I play through it myself.

At the time of me writing this, Metacritic has aggregated 64 reviews (all of them in the positive range) for a current mean score of 94%.

It's official: we have a winner on our hands. Normally I wouldn't read too much into reviews, but they're all positive. Overwhelmingly positive.

Hopefully the naysayers are being good sports and having a good laugh at themselves for their pessimism/concern trolling. Only a few more days to go.
