They need to fix the camera imo. Just beat the demo last night. Once you level up it gets easier.

Kingthrash3603320d ago

Yes...the camera killed me more than a few times. ..but it's pretty hardcore...the combat is deep too...day 1 for me

Eidolon3320d ago

What stats do you recommend?

ChronoJoe3320d ago

Max strength and use an axe for the easiest time, I would say.

But you an use anything really. Just pick a stat that matches your weapon. I wouldn't put points into Vitality or KI, because I feel that you have plenty and the gains aren't that significant overall, but I probably would put points into these stats later on in the full game.

Eidolon3320d ago

I've done most my points in Strength, and invested into some Samurai and Ninja skill points for abilities.

Summons753320d ago

I know it's more unfair and that takes out the fun that the game could have....

zeal0us3320d ago

Incoming down-votes from Nioh fans for speaking your mind.

The need to fix the stamina system. Its one thing to not be able to attack but to hoof for air while leaving yourself vulnerable to attack just unnecessary. Now I'm just going to attack two times block and jump back and rinse and repeat.

The camera system is one of the biggest pain in the ass with the game.

I guess being one hit killed makes it hardcore and not cheap.

Dir_en_grey3320d ago

The developers can not fix people's stupidity and their inability to understand something so simple shown right in front of their faces.

You have a stamina bar, enemy has a stamina bar, you and the enemy pant when out of stamina. How hard is it to put the two together and understand to try to drain the enemy's stamina and not your own...

Retarded gamers wanting every little thing to be spoon fed to them are really just cancer to gaming...

jambola3320d ago

He said it's unfair and takes out the fun? of course people are going to disagree

i agree with the stamina, thought the camera was fine, and most enemies don't kill you in one hit.

Maybe you didn't play far enough to know that, or you didn't play at all, nobody who played much could think it's just one hit kills.

It's definitely harder. I have died a LOT!

Still getting my head around the complexities of the combat and other systems. Great setting though. Feels like a day 1 buy for me.

I think most hardcore Souls fans will like this game. It's certainly a challenge.

The question is though: "Are DKS games really that hard?"
Because in termsof difficulty, there are and there have been much much harder games than DKS ones....
BTW "stamina" isn't a DKS thing, and they still don't know how to "ki pulse"... TeamNinja should introduce a much clearer tutorial for it. Many people seem reeally oblivious of that mechanic. Or is it that they just DON'T pay attention to tutorial plus the white glowing stamina bar?

monkeyDzoro3320d ago

Ki pulse is a mechanic that allows you to INSTANTLY gain back the ki you have used for a combo or a move. If you look carefully at the ki bar, you'll see that when you used it, it becomes RED then there's a white bar filling it up when you end your move (like an active reload in Gears of War).

If you press R1 then, your ki will refill depending on how much the white ki bar will have moved. So if you wait the white ki bar to refill your lost ki (in RED) and then press R1, you'll gain ALL the ki you've previously used.
A little tip: when the white ki bar fills the red one, you'll see that portion of your ki bar glowing in white. Plus, there will be many small white-blueish particles surrounding your character at that moment.

Here are some vids of a player showing that perfectly: https://www.youtube.com/wat...

jambola3320d ago

I know a tutorial popped up on how to do it, but it seemed to be the only one that didn't appear in the tutorial list after.

cyberwaffles3320d ago

If its cheap like Ninja Gaiden then I'm going to pass. That game, although fun, made me rage quit.
