I don't see how not supporting the current userbase will give you a larger userbase in the future...that's because it won't and NX is gonna fail!

Grayshadow3346d ago

Hard to judge the NX before it's even shown. But allowing one of the most popular franchies in Nintendo's library, which was responsible for boosting sales in the past, to release on the Wii U and NX will hurt the Wii U. Clearly people want this game but if fans had a choice on which version to get, and rumors about the NX are true, than more people are likely to sell their Wii U to fund getting an NX. That's my theory.

The game could release on both like Twilight Princess did for the Wii and Cube.

PhoenixUp3346d ago

What does Nintendo hope to gain by giving their current console base the shaft? Just release the Wii U version this year and the NX version next year.

Seriously they were hyping this to be a Wii U system seller, now they're delaying it to make it feel more obvious that it's the lesser version.

DivineAssault 3346d ago

Just what i was thinking.. Total BS and it feels like people who support them are getting screwed over because they need to show how much better the NX version will be..

Grayshadow3346d ago

One can also argue that Zelda would've been completed this year if this decision wasn't made to release it on the NX.

I bet you don't see all these Nintendo haters complaining about Sony screwing everyone with the neo or complaining about the VR Gimmick they're trying to push on everyone. Hypocrisy at its finest

superchiller3346d ago

Right, because Sony isn't "screwing everyone with the Neo" at all, the original PS4 will continue to work just fine. And PSVR is an entirely optional device, Sony isn't forcing anyone to buy it either.

Get your facts straight before you post false garbage.

gamerb63346d ago

The Ps4 will be underpowered compared to the neo. You need to check your facts.

Whether VR is forced or not it's still a gimmick which would be blown completely out of proportion if it was Nintendo doing the exact same thing by people like you.

U hypocritical fanboys are parasites to gaming culture.

Grayshadow3346d ago

Well I would argue that Neo, or PS4K, hasn't been confirm as of yet so they have no foundation to use that argument, where as Zelda's delay and NX's release date has been confirmed by Nintendo. As for VR judging from the way it's selling you cannot fault them for wanting to hope on the money wagon, there's a lot of people who want one.

What isn't a bad sign for Wii U these days sure they are moving on and making a new console, the Wii U isn't just gonna mission impossible dissolve itselfs, everything is just doom and gloom with Nintendo supposedly these days, yet they still keep releasing great new consoles.

Grayshadow3346d ago

Yea, I love the system. Xenoblade Chronicles X and Super Smash Bros. Wii U are one of my favorite. The issue was marketing. Wii U was such a horrible name and almost no one knew about it, heck I didn't know the system was backwards capable until I read about it on Gamespot.

Link Should Talk, but Choose His Words Carefully in The Legend of Zelda Movie

Link should have a voice in The Legend of Zelda Movie. While he mostly stays quiet in the games, he canonically does speak but usually holds back on expressing his thoughts. In a movie format, it is better for the character and the story itself that Link speaks.

I just hope it's not a bunch MCU Snarky McJokeface dialog. Started playing veilguard free on PSN (would not recommend) and it's a perfect example of how dialog in contemporary entertainment is garbage.

It's gonna be Chris Pratt again lol
