Sounds great! No noticeable lag, still comfortable, and very immersive. Well done, Sony.

Even more impressive: this is not even PS VR's final form.

BossBattle3072d ago

I did see a video where a game on PSVR had very noticeable lag. But the PS4K or Neo will help with this.

DarXyde3072d ago

How long ago was that?

This is a very recent impression.

BossBattle3072d ago

Probably like 2 months ago max. There was a lady testing the vive vs psvr. The psvr had way more input lag than the vive on the same game. That's why I wouldn't buy the PSVR without getting a PS4K first.

DLConspiracy3072d ago

Most of what I have heard is comparisons to the other vr devices. When comparing it to itself most people don't notice much of a difference. When people compare them to other vr devices there is a bit of a difference.

ninsigma3072d ago

Didn't hear that but to be honest I'd expect there to be some sort of a difference. Vive does cost about double the psvr after all and runs on stronger hardware so I think vive performing better in places is a given. Seems though people who just play psvr don't notice the lag so that's a good thing there.

BossBattle,

It sounds like you're looking at an isolated experience. Was this journalist from a pro or anti-Sony website? The general impression since earlier revisions seems to be that everyone loves it. I myself have yet to see ANY bad impressions. Then again, to be fair, I'm not looking for them.

There is no perceivable lag using the PSVR. If there was then everyone would puke their guts out.

What some are seeing is the delay from what is happening on the TV. And that is in no way representing latency inside the VR headset.

I tried it at Rezzed.., and loved how silky smooth the experience was.
You can hardly feel the weight of the device... and I am fairly certain, you can use it for hours without headaches.

I can finally play Half Life Alyx.

mariopasta187d ago

I can finally watch pron, I mean watch pronouns be pronounced in PC VR games that were previously not available on Playstation.

crazyCoconuts187d ago

be careful not to sprain your... tongue pronouncing those pronouns

Profchaos187d ago

I'm excited for that to plus I can try fallout 4 VR always wanted to play that

crazyCoconuts187d ago

I was lucky and held off on 4 until I played it in VR. It really is pretty awesome - you'll love it.

DaReapa187d ago

The icing on the cake would be if Sony / Valve allow for a Steam Link app much like it is for the Quest 3. Likely wishful thinking, though.
