Nerd Reactor: The 16-bit era is easily one of my favorite times in gaming. Growing up I owned a Super Nintendo, but I always had a chance to play a few Sega Genesis games over at my friend’s house. This is where I was first introduced to Sonic the Hedgehog and Altered Beasts, two games I still enjoy playing to this day. While that was more than two decades ago, once Sega became a third-party publisher in the mid-2000s, we’ve seen them release various collections on multiple consoles. So the question becomes, is the Sega 3D Classics Collection worth its $29.99 price tag?
The venerable Nintendo 3DS is entering its twilight years. After a rocky, uncertain launch, the system built a following and a library that allowed it to become one of the most successful systems released, and it certainly has the top-tier games to show for it. SEGA released SEGA 3D Classics Collection on the Nintendo 3DS last year, April 26, 2016, for $29.99.
