I want the Original Vault Dwellers with their new upgrades shown off in the sequel. I mean you could do so much with the Liliths new powers

Just have to replace one of them

I would like new Vault dwellers with maybe the options of the old ones later in another playthrough.

But the new dwellers powers need to be well thought out...not like the pre-sequel which were slapped together and terrible.

How about a split between the current Vault Hunters. I argue that a planetary war may be the focus for the next game. What if the first set of Hunters and the new set decide break up, causing players to choose between the two in addition to the new characters. I would love to see that.

The franchise director left and they've put their resources into Battleborn. If BL3 or Borderworlds is ever going to happen, I can't see it being for a while.

KwietStorm_BLM2973d ago

They already said it's in preplanning stages right now, and development will start after Battleborn's DLC season is completed.

Yes, Randy Pitchford stated that a title hasn't been decided on. It could be called Borderlands 4 he said. Basically Gearbox is focusing all their attention on Battleborn until production for the entire project is completed, that includes the game and all DLC.

Oddly I woke up to a friend messaging me the same thing. This is great news!!

Here's what I think would make an amazing Borderlands game. Instead of making it one planet with one vault, make the game take place in space with multiple planets. For example have the Hyperion base be the base of operations and you go to different planets, each with increasing difficulty. Have a map similar to the one in Destiny where you choose which planet to explore, and have 10-12 zones per planet. Then once you hit the higher levels there's a few planets you can choose from where you can grind out some gear. Borderlands 2 had a ton of zones, most of which you never go back to....so why not divvy those up over several planets? Then instead of making us wait several years for a sequel, they add a new planet once in a while, bump the level cap and make the new content challenging enough to keep people playing!

Grayshadow2973d ago

That's one of my theories in the video. At the end of Borderlands 2 you see a map showing Vaults on other planets. In addition at the end of The Pre-Sequel a war is hinted, something big. I argue it has to do with that galactic map, with Vault Hunters across the universe going against one another. Perhaps the corporations, which have continuously played a part in the Borderlands series, will support specific hunters for siding on their side.

Though far from the best version, this does a mostly good job of bringing this snarky sci fi shooter to the Switch.
