Please let this be true and it can use the Quantum Break engine Northlight to look amazing

I would take Quantum Break 2 as well :)

kma2k3351d ago

it looked pretty but for the love of god was it fucked up on PC

Eonjay3351d ago

Should we expect this on PS4 or should we expect them to continue their relationship with Microsoft?

Fin_The_Human3352d ago

Says new game so I doubt it.

I would cry like a little girl if ts AW2 sinve AW1 was my favorite game last gen but I stocked that Remedy is working on something in general.

If its a MS exclusive then I need to give MS probs for funding these guys even though the games aren't selling millions.

TheVigilanteCode3352d ago

Hopefully no more "TV, TV, TV, TV, TV" and just good old gameplay.

OpenGL3352d ago

Quantum Break was great but the TV show tie in was kind of a mistake in my opinion. I would rather have seen that money spent on the actual game. The in-game cinematics were plenty good for conveying the story.

kraenk123351d ago (Edited 3351d ago )

@OpenGL

Sam Lake admitted they didn't have the time and funds to do all those story scenes in CGI so they had to cut short.

holysmokesbatman3352d ago

Sorry, strongly disagree, QB was the for me personally the most mind blowingly unique entertainment experience I've ever had, I'll quite happily take more...

dirkdady3352d ago

Like special in the way you ride a short bus special.

TheCommentator3352d ago

Like special in the way a short bus jacked up on monster truck tires doing some mind-blowing freestyle is special!

There, I fixed that for you, Dirkdaddy.

MagicBeanz3352d ago

LOL, you're trying to hard to sell it. "Mind blowing", give me a break.

The way they did Night Springs was great in Alan Wake thou...

FITgamer3352d ago

Honesty the live action parts of Quantum Break were better than the game itself.

Fin_The_Human3352d ago

Speak for your self...I actually really enjoys the balance between the TV show and the game play.

-Foxtrot3352d ago

Pfftt...hardly balanced

Fin_The_Human3352d ago (Edited 3352d ago )

More balance than The Order ;)

Edit: Good for you Fox Tot.

-Foxtrot3352d ago

Yeah because the Order had 20 minute low budget live action cutscenes

Kalebninja3352d ago

Hope they continue to be creative with the directions they take, Alan Wake was good but the original was enough for me, wouldn't be bothered if they don't return to it.

crazychris41243352d ago

Thats normal, writing and art department need something to do while the programmers are doing their thing

TFJWM3352d ago

Not sure why you are getting disagrees... From the article "Mikko Rautalahti works at Remedy as a Narrative Lead – he writes the story, basically – and he’s been working on something for the past three months that involves writing the story and figuring out how it’s going to pan out."

Of course writers and art guys are going to be working on something once the assets and story are done from the last game....

My personal opinion:

Manufacturers and publishers have indeed inflated the industry.

From $700 million development costs for games like Call of Duty, to digital (store) prices for games and DLCs, online multiplayer fees on consoles (why can you play Helldivers 2 online for free on PC but not consoles?) or still preventing sell/lend digitally purchased games.

Sometime in the future, this bubble will collapse.

They should know better, but they just can't help themselves and suck even the last penny out of our wallets.

BeHunted17h ago

Because Sony knows people will be forced to pay those prices for single player and multiplayer games, not everyone prefers PC gaming. Sony also has a monopoly on PlayStation digital games. In 2019, they stopped allowing retailers and game key sellers to sell PlayStation digital games, making them available only through the official PlayStation Store

anast19h ago

The Dutch gov. wants a piece of the pie.

Eonjay19h ago

They should be suing the individual publishers increasing the prices to $80 instead of suing the store. There are plenty of publishers still selling game for like $50 with much success (like E33). But this proves that the publishers are the ones setting the prices.... so again nothing changes because they aren't even going after the main offender. How is suing Sony going to make Microsoft not charge $80 for the next COD? Sony being the number one store in the market doesn't mean that publisher have to charge us an arm and a leg. Again the industry is laughing at us because consumers never get real representation. Just these fake platitudes that are meaningless.

BeHunted17h ago

"How is suing Sony going to make Microsoft not charge $80 for the next COD"

Because Microsoft doesn't have a monopoly, I can purchase Call of Duty at a huge discount from CDKeys or other gaming retailers. The only way to purchase digital PlayStation games is through the PlayStation Store.

djl348516h ago

Weird, I swore GoW, Stellar Blade, Horizon Zero Dawn, TLoU, etc. were on the steam store....uh.....

BeHunted12h ago(Edited 12h ago)

@djI3485

I'm talking about PlayStation games that you can only purchase on PlayStation. I can purchase Steam and Epic games from 3rd party retailers and key stores.

About time. There is zero fair reason why digitally distributed products that you cannot recoup any value when you want to dispose of them, should be priced higher than that of physical copies that entail all of the costs and the benefits of owning.

Its time Damian ...and his mother too & how his son came to be will be a big part in a background story of a Batman movie, series or game.

-Foxtrot2d ago

I'd have rather seen Terry than Damian especially to see what they could have done with Terry in the Arkhamverse

excaliburps1d 2h ago

No, WB doesn't want anything fun since suits want live service garbage for max revenue. LOL!

Shame. If we are getting any Batman games like these, it'll be years away.

LordStig14h ago

YES! make an Arkham game with Terry as Batman and call it Batman Beyond Arkham.

Babadook721h ago

Not to be confused with Damon Wayans.

jznrpg21h ago

I’m not a big superhero fan but I do enjoy the Batman and SpiderMan games. Too bad this one got cancelled. WB has been mostly shite live service.
