Skybox Labs tactical strategy game, TASTEE: Lethal Tactics, is coming May 10th to PC.
Chalgyr's Game Room writes:
TASTEE: Lethal Tactics is a twist on traditional turn-based strategy titles. Focusing more on the off-the-cuff humor, a Team Fortress 2 art direction, and occasionally brutal missions, you will recruit a team of ne'er-do-gooder mercenaries, then plan out and execute tense, dramatic, and oft-times hilariously frustrating gunfights. Sling your six-shooters, and rack a round into your shotty, TASTEE: Lethal Tactics will take you for a non-traditional spin through the beloved turn-based strategy genre
HPP: There seems to have been a recent influx of strategy titles I’ve had the pleasure to review, and the first game leading the pack was Skybox Labs’ TASTEE: Lethal Tactics. Though it doesn’t take the title for the first of the genre, the asynchronous turn-based model was a real treat to delve into. Many hours were spent trying to get through TASTEE’s brutal single player, and when I wanted to relax a bit I challenged Heypoorplayer’ s editor-in-chief to a few matches. It was very satisfying dropping some slugs into his skull, and you can read all about that experience in our review. I corresponded with a few members Skybox Labs to talk about the development of TASTEE: Lethal Tactics...
While you have undoubtedly come across the turn-based tactical beats of TASTEE Lethal Tactics before, it’s perhaps less likely that you have seen them pulled off with the verve and abundance of cheeky style that is evident here; after all, how many turn-based squad games have you plying your trade from the bowels of a gaudily decorated fast food take out joint?
More than anything, I just really like the animal skull/gun logo.
Looks kind of like TF2 if it used the XCOM formula.
