Bammsters have been playing the Early Access version of Subnautica, and decided to review this marine-based gem of a survival game!
The game, as the name implies, take part mostly under water, diving amongst corals, fungi, fish, and vines, and the game uses this to present a unique set of challenges; you have to deal with managing air, not swimming too deep, and having to unlock technology to dive deeper and into caves and wrecks.
Donya: "Hello Subnauts, A few of you noticed some information shared online by our publisher, KRAFTON 🕵 While some of the news is exciting, we’d like to clarify:
- Early Access is not intended for release in 2024, but we plan to share a lot more information later this year!
- In reference to “Games-as-a-Service,” we simply plan to continually update the game for many years to come, just like the previous two Subnautica games. Think our Early Access update model, expanded. No season passes. No battle passes. No subscription.
- The game is not multiplayer-focused. Co-op will be an entirely optional way to play the game. You’ll be able to enjoy the game as a single-player."
Thanks for the clarification. All this sounds great! Will definitely be playing co-op with this one.
Great! Now I have to take this ☛💩 back...
💩 🤔 - But where to put it?
🎮▋🤔 - Perfect.
Korean publisher Krafton released a presentation. A new Subnautica is in the works and has a targeted release for 2025, whereas the The Sims-like inZOI will be coming as soon as 2024 or as late as 2026. Let's hope it's sooner rather than later?
Subnautica 3? Where is 2? The standalone DLC surely doesn't count as a full sequel.
Subnautica has been heralded as one of the best survival underwater exploration games on the market and there's a lot to know before playing.
