I wish my vita could see some of this action...

DarXyde2940d ago

Agreed. I don't even have a 3DS anymore so I can't even play it. :(

It's a shame I can't run/emulate this game on my palms...

Fist4achin2940d ago

Nintendo seemed to put a lock on many of their releases. I think the da got 3-4 shin megami releases and Persona q. Whereas the vita only got persona 4 golden.

DarXyde2940d ago

To be fair though, Persona 4 Golden is damn near perfect as far as JRPGs go.

Hardly a loss for Vita, in my opinion.

I am excited but I hope they balance out the enemy A.I because the series always strives on having difficult tug-of-war battles revolving not only in exploiting weaknesses for extra turns but memorizing enemy behavior. Shin Megami Tensei IV had some fun battles but most of them either revolved around the boss steam rolling your or vice versa.

I am just happy that the main series is continuing because it is my favorite storyline in the SMT universe. Still waiting for a console release and the return of the art legend, Kazuma Kaneko for a character design.

Basically Persona and Nier OSTs ... 👀

dead_pixels1865d ago (Edited 1865d ago )

You know, I’d agree if we were talking about games older than 10 years. Sadly, P5’s soundtrack, while solid, just didn’t do it for me. Then again, disco and funk just aren’t my thing.

CDbiggen1864d ago

Some solid picks in there. That Ys viii track is kickass.
I was always a fan of FF XIIIs battle theme, blinded by light. Think we're still inside the decade for that :-)

rainslacker1863d ago (Edited 1863d ago )

Ys games are always great. I love some of their live orchestral performances.

Any list like this that doesn't include Bravely Default, is an incomplete list.
Full stop.

Nice to see they put Criminal Girls in there. Kind of disappointed that Xenosaga didn't make it, as it has one of the best soundtracks in gaming. While not a game to begin with, seems like not having "Do you Remember Love" from Macross, which has been in many Macross games, seems like a huge oversight, since it pretty much set the whole trope of music to save the world to.

that said, anything from Falcom's JDK Team is awesome.
