I hope the paranormal game is better than the movies because those generally suck.
Awesome games coming out though for VR so I can't wait to get my hands on the thing!

What they do well, though, is make you jump. Now imagine the jump scares when it's actually right in your face!

Story aside, I can't see how that particular mechanic can fail in VR. :O

ninsigma3317d ago

First one not so much. Thought it was a terrible excuse for a horror movie. 2nd was better and I enjoyed the 3rd but haven't seen any more.

Yeah you can't really get it wrong in VR. Actually being in the house would be really freaky. I'm sure I'll give it a go, I'm really looking forward to all the new horrors that are gonna come out for VR.

Out of these I'm only really interessted in Rigs, Eve Valkyrie, Ark and Dreams.

I'm curious to see more from Golem and Robinson though.

FarEastOrient3317d ago

I really want to know more about the Star Wars thing that was teased.

G20WLY3317d ago

It's great to here it has top end developer support whether you look at first party, third party or indie.

It definitely has an impressive amount of support, so the devs sure believe in it enough to take a punt. Hopefully that translates to great games not just many games.

RIGS and Eve Valkyrie are mine, day one, I know that much!

Robo Quest VR looks pretty slick with that fast gunplay.

Shadowgate VR looks good too, perhaps in the vein of elder scrolls.

thorstein66d ago

Shadowgate VR. Thought it might be connected to the old point and click game. But it still looks good.

darklaw65d ago

y'know, VR needs something can can only be achieved while in VR. Immersion isn't enough, it has to have a hook that is so cool that you would want to own one. Having the same games you could play on console doesnt warrant a purchase.

Babadook764d ago

Resident Evil 4 Remake and Village and Gran Turismo 7 alone make it worth it for me. The difference VR makes is so large it more than doubles the enjoyment of these types of quality VR ports. So I disagree. I would love a future where all great 2d games got some kind of a hybrid port to VR.

Has Hitman: World Of Assassination been confirmed for PCVR? If not, then this article is seriously misleading.

CrimsonIdol213d ago

It's confirmed on Steam VR yes. It's right there on the store page.

bigfish213d ago (Edited 213d ago )

I’ll have to put the dual sense down and pick up metro and alien vr to see me out till the end of the year. Good to see companies supporting psvr 2 .

Babadook7213d ago

Looks like a tremendous few months coming up. I won't be able to keep up with these.

VR is really starting to flesh out recently. The hardware is finally getting accessible and with the quality it takes to deliver a compelling and immersive experience. Good times ahead. I hope Flat2VR Studios can bridge the gap with some excellent conversions as the industry matures.
