Yeah, because THAT'S what it needs... to be harder!

I'm being sarcastic of course, I know a ton of people love that extra challenge that the DS series gives them.

Omeganex99993310d ago

20 hours through, I have to say I don't find it particularly hard, having played the previous ones. It might actually be easier thanks to the number of power ups (estus flask) and the chance of recruiting a lot of NPC since the start. That's not a bad thing in my opinion, it gives the game more variety.

bangoskank3310d ago

Cool, now if only Amazon would ship mine already...

Cartman551253310d ago

Glad I took the day off and Amazon hasn't even gotten here yet -_-

bangoskank3309d ago

Yup, initially they said it would be delivered on release day but now it won't be here until tomorrow, two days after release. At least I saved 20%.

Mr Lahey3310d ago

Issues that a lot of critics complained about and put in reviews as negatives affecting the score. That's what you get when everybody rushes their reviews to get as many hits as possible..

Issues that is far less of a problem when the game actually releases.

Darkwatchman3310d ago (Edited 3310d ago )

It's not rushing reviews...it's called reviewers get games early and there is an agreed upon embargo date when people can post reviews to give everyone equal chances and just so happens in this day and age that day 1 patches are a thing that happens and it's just something that can't be accounted for with reviews.

frostypants3310d ago

Game's got a 90/90/87 on Metacritic. Can't have hurt too much.

vastolorde6663310d ago

Bloodborne was too easy for my taste...bring something harder....or release two version...the noob version and cult version...

goldwyncq3310d ago

You're going to love it. I'm twenty hours in and this game by far has the hardest bosses in the series, Bloodborne included.

Eidolon3310d ago

Will I need to buy extra controllers and a backup TV?

goldwyncq3310d ago

If any of the previous games made you do that, then you're gonna need a ton of controllers this time around.

Eidolon3310d ago

You know what, I think Blighttown made me most mad :p.

thekhurg3310d ago

Bloodborne was easy because of the core gameplay mechanics. Spamming attacks worked well because of the health regeneration from staying in combat. Taking the same approach in this game will just get you killed.

Eidolon3310d ago

I too found Bloodborne easier, but I believe it is a good gateway game into the souls games.

frostypants3310d ago (Edited 3310d ago )

Overall Bloodborne was easier, but certain parts late-game were harder than anything in the Souls games IMO. For example, the first section of Yahar'gul (with the laser shooting bastards and reviving mobs), plus the entire Old Hunters DLC (especially that goddamn Fishing Hamlet...with that goddamn well and the goddamn respawning NPC invader hunters). Bloodborne got really hard towards the end.

bangoskank3310d ago

Ebrietas took me forever to beat and, like Eidolon said, The Old Hunters was a b*tch. I couldn't even beat Ludwig for a whole month then I lost my save data.

Loktai3310d ago

Bloosborne ramps up slower... late in the game things get much more serious, but agreed it's easier to get a foothold... that's what waste of skin is for.

jjb19813310d ago

I'm still playing Demons souls, dang backlog!

I beat them all with my fists and no hits were taken. What do you mean you don't believe me? I used a guitar hero controller!!!

qalpha521d ago

I used the Jungle Beat Bongos from my Gamecube

The_Hooligan521d ago

I just made my character look like Chuck Norris.

All the bosses are only from Dark Souls. No Bloodborne, Sekiro, Elden Ring, or Demon Souls

Review: Mastering Dark Souls 3 Is A Monumental Achievement - Gamescordia

Dark Souls 3 is easily the most replayable game in the Dark Souls Series. But, is the game good enough to spend nearly 10 hours killing Silver Knights alone?

These games bore me to tears. I don’t mind the difficulty it’s just the constant killing the same enemies over every time you rest that makes it so monotonous

jznrpg534d ago

You open up a lot of shortcuts so you can skip many enemies. But if I don’t like games I don’t buy them.
