Stardew Valley Review | OrdinaryGamer
The more games focus on developing strong narratives and stories, the better it makes them. We have seen this more and more in recent times, with titles such as Firewatch, Gone Home and Life is Strange using this formula to great success. It is interesting that Stardew Valley disregards almost all semblance of a structured story in favour of the player creating their own, but boy does it work. This RPG in disguise as a farming simulator is under no illusions as to what sort of game it is trying to be, and that is one that is fun, light-hearted and highly addictive.
