PSN Bandwidth Cap Removed After 10 Years?

Blashted|10 years ago|PS4

For years, PSN users were forced to cope with a sluggish network and a capped bandwidth unlike other gaming networks such as Xbox Live or Steam. Download and upload speeds would top out at around 30Mbps if you were lucky enough. According to Sony, the reason for the cap was "to ensure network stability." However that has all changed seemingly due to a possible PSN infrastructure change in sync with the launch of OFW 3.50. From personal network testing and a chat with PlayStation Support, it seems PSN has finally moved forward.
