"You don't see an indie game like Hyper Light Drifter very often, or at least, you see very few that do so well in accomplishing what they set out to achieve. Lots of indie games list influences and inspirations from titles that came before them, but very few actually nail what makes their influences tick quite like this game does — at least in terms of gameplay mechanics and style. However, in terms of presentation, Hyper Light Drifter is a thing of odd half-measures. It's beautiful to look at and listen to, but it's unnecessarily cryptic and obtuse in terms of narrative or direction. It's a fantastic game, but it's a frustrating one at times, and it's certainly not for everyone."
Legend has it that this list of the best Xbox One Co-Op games is so good, it may require four people to fully enjoy.
Hyper Light Drifter is a game that doesn't hand its plot to you on a silver platter, but that's just what makes it so special.
From Xfire: "The rise of vintage pixel graphics in modern games has brought a huge range of amazing, beautiful titles to us - and these games will let your poor, overworked PC take a breath. Here are the top 10 pixel art games for low-power PCs."
You can also add old school RPGs to the mix if you’re into them. Their slow pace work great with my old laptop. Currently playing Trails in the sky.
Glad I bought this game yesterday. I have been following it for a while because it reminded of Blaster Master for the NES and Star Tropics II. You can really tell that Heart Machine made a labor of love of this title because everything feels so well-crafted.
I'm patiently waiting for the ps4 release :)
Love the look of this game.
