April 1st marks the passage from Sony Computer Entertainment to Sony Interactive Entertainment. Since it’s already past midnight in Japan, the change is already effective there.
Many wondered if the company would lose the iconic diamond in its logo, but apparently this isn’t the case, as shared by Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida on Twitter.
Disc Drive for PS5 price will also be reduced in these regions.
430 GBP for discless one? Massive oof.
Just payed this exact price for the one with the drive.
I am so glad I grabbed that Astro Bot bundle disc based ps5 2 weeks ago. Get it while you still can!! And discless one PLUS Astro Bot is 330. Great value. I see this bundle is still available so: go, go, go!!!
Madness. For something that costs probably not much over half to produce than it did in production. Odd how there's been so many sales though. Frequently the disc console has been available for £410 with astrobot included recently - even this week. And now the digital console is going up to 429 with no game or drive? 😂😂
Data from True Trophies and Game Trends suggests a 15.2% drop compared to February.
Well I for one didn't touch the games in March. I can't even remember what they were. I remember adding them to my library though
I just platinumed the Cowabunga Collection last night. Great nostalgia trip, especially with all the extras. Comic covers, cartoon screenshots, box art, manuals, original adverts etc. Good get!
'The March 2025 free games, which are still available for subscribers to claim for their digital libraries, are Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Sonic Colors: Ultimate, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection.'.
I have zero interest in DA.
I think I watched the Sonic trailer but the music was so generic and grating that I stopped watching.
TMNT: will maybe fire it up at some point.
The thing for me is, if I'm currently in the middle of a game, why would I suddenly drop it to play a game that I can add to my library? It would take something I really want, like Silent Hill 2, to drive that.
I was too busy last month, when I do have time, I played Jedi Survivor, GT7, RDR2, just too many games to choose from for PS5. On top of that, I've been out and about so no time to play more.
New PS Plus monthly line up and catalogue wasn't that good for March though.
PC gaming is cheaper than console gaming. With Amazon Prime, you get free games every month, and Epic gives away free games every week.
People Can Fly has entered into an agreement with Sony Interactive Entertainment regarding the production of a prototype of a new game, codenamed “Project Delta,” based on an intellectual property belonging to Sony Interactive Entertainment, the company announced.
Killzone? Resistance? Seems up their alley genre wise. Maybe with Sony they can make a high end game like Blooper did with Silent Hill 2
Probably not a bad idea to revisit what I imagine can only be a shooter, be it 1st/3rd person for Sonys modern line up. however:
"production of a prototype"
So nothing we'll see soon if ever.
Gonna miss the Sony Computer Entertainment name
Cool, so the Diamond is sorted what about the game that plays after it shows up like Crash Bandicoot...
:)
They need a new logo tbh
Oh nice! How about instead of having the usual black background and "SCE presents" before every exclusives plays we have something like the PS1 startup with Remixed sound? That would be great
Bring back the original Playstation logo
