Flatout: Ultimate Carnage Then and Now

Flatout: Ultimate Carnage Then and Now

My personal favorite from the classic game was the High Jump, and this is what set the game apart from other racers to me. In the High Jump you drive your rocket car down a straight track and at the designated point you are to launch your driver through the windshield and try to get them to land on the netting as high as possible. In the original game this was a little different, as it just measured the highest point of your trip rather than requiring you to actually hit it on a net.

Overall this was a mediocre game that I couldn’t even force myself to finish. This morning I packaged it up and tossed it in the mail. Even with the destructible environment (although the mechanics of some pieces still confuse me, like how a fallen tree does not affect my car when i run over it but a piece of plywood flat on the ground can send my car down the path of pain) good graphics, and tons of destruction, I would not really recommend this game to anyone. Save your money for something better, there are other good racing games for the 360.
