Revolt 2 Review - The Best Mini-PC On The Market?

Tin Salamunic: I’ve been testing the Revolt 2 for a full week now, and I haven’t experienced any technical difficulties. On more than one occasion, I had to remind myself that this is a mini-PC and not a large PC tower. There’s something very liberating about having your PC sit next to your PS4, Xbox One and Wii U. The Revolt 2 has exceeded my expectations, and while it’s not as easy to replace certain parts as I hoped for, I can’t think of another case this size that accomplishes as much. iBUYPOWER has crafted something very special here. They’ve set a new standard for mini-PC design, and when combined with their aggressive pricing for parts and assembly, there’s no better choice for anyone in the market for a high-end PC that’s slightly larger than the Xbox One.

Not easy to upgrade parts though.

TheGameScouts3341d ago

True. It's very doable, but some parts are harder to replace than others. On the other hand, there' no other mini-PC case that can carry so many high-end components without overheating. As far as boutique PC builds go, this is quite impressive. :)

It is impressive. I wanna know how hard it is to upgrade the ram memory and GPU. Is it difficult to take the memory out if I want to add 32 GB of ram memory.

TheGameScouts3341d ago

@ShadowKnight The GPU, the RAM and the SSD are very easy to install. In fact, the SSD and GPU can be removed by simply opening the top cover. However, the required liquid cooling, the motherboard, the power supply are trickier, and should be handled only by someone who knows what they're doing. It's not a negative necessarily, but it's worth pointing out for anyone planning to replace certain parts down the road.

I personally, thought that I built the best mini pc I could. It might not have the fancy case of the revolt 2 (it uses a Lian-Li) but I'm sure it holds up.

Lian Li is pretty sweet though.
