"Sony's PlayStation VR has two things going for it: It's good enough, and it's the cheapest of the high-end VR lot."
Tune into VR Games Showcase for the latest announcements and updates on Meta Quest, PlayStation VR2, and PC VR titles coming in 2025.
With Hitman: World of Assassination on PS VR2, Flat2VR Studios, Slender VR and much more confirmed for the show, this is something you won't want to miss.
This will be a roughly 35 minute show.
Robo Quest VR looks pretty slick with that fast gunplay.
Shadowgate VR looks good too, perhaps in the vein of elder scrolls.
Shadowgate VR. Thought it might be connected to the old point and click game. But it still looks good.
y'know, VR needs something can can only be achieved while in VR. Immersion isn't enough, it has to have a hook that is so cool that you would want to own one. Having the same games you could play on console doesnt warrant a purchase.
Virtual Reality (VR) gamers will be eating well the next few months with what seems like solid titles releasing from now until December.
Has Hitman: World Of Assassination been confirmed for PCVR? If not, then this article is seriously misleading.
I’ll have to put the dual sense down and pick up metro and alien vr to see me out till the end of the year. Good to see companies supporting psvr 2 .
Looks like a tremendous few months coming up. I won't be able to keep up with these.
VR is really starting to flesh out recently. The hardware is finally getting accessible and with the quality it takes to deliver a compelling and immersive experience. Good times ahead. I hope Flat2VR Studios can bridge the gap with some excellent conversions as the industry matures.
VR veteran Survios is currently working on Alien: Rogue Incursion, so we take a look back at its history of VR works.
$500 for a bundle and $400 is not an appealing price
It's like she's afraid of calling it as it is.
What is 'low end of high end'? ^_^ Just be straightforward about it.
If I'm gonna drop £350 (+ Camera), I don't want "good enough".

(based on the article)
The controls aren't even accurate which breaks immersion.
Why would I drop over £350 to play inaccurate ping pong?
PSVR's controllers don't stack up to Vive/Oculus.
--
I think it's high time we stop comparing PSVR to Oculus/Vive. It's actually unfair.
That said, I look forward to demoing PSVR when the kiosks hit the stores.
*sigh*

This is a new venture in gaming.. Hopefully it turns out like we hope it will.. Im not a fan of having cables connected to me but if this takes off, a new model will eventually be cordless.. Even if PSVR only has 5 great games, ill be happy.. If it skyrockets and becomes a smash hit, even better with more support and features..
Already have the camera and move accessories so all i need is the headset.. I can risk $400.. I was hoping for $350 but ill take the risk.. There will be so many new ways to play games if devs get creative with it.. Theres always a chance of it bombing but like the vita, im sure there will be games i like on it..
Let's do some comparing here, and I don't mean tech. When the Rift and Vive were announced all we heard about was the price. Now that Sony makes and affordable VR headset there are articles coming out of every crack that wants to write an article slamming the PSVR. Where were these articles at with Rift and Vive? Seems jealousy at play here. Affordable and does everything a console gamer wants? Check. Yet here we are with articles like these trying to prevent Sony selling millions of these when Sony has twice the lead on Microsoft. It's simple and too easy to see the jealousy on the other side from fanboys.
2 Moves + camera + HMD is $560.
That's a steal for a great setup.
The trouble is, Sony didn't force the controllers into the bundle. Thus, games devs cant be assured that people own 1, let alone 2 -- and NO, the DS4 is NOT an acceptable substitute in VR! Its ergonomics are two handed! This isn't final fantasy, where wielding a two-hander in each hand is no problem.
A VR headset and 2 controllers would have basically guaranteed a win for Sony in the VR space. People would have gladly shelled out $500 for that.
Instead they screwed it up, looking for a quick cash grab. Sad.
